I doubt it. There have been reports of not being able to convert ID xp anymore. Even if you can convert still you would only be able to get 4 of your 6 branches so you would still need to do some through combat or crafting. I think most people would prefer to stick to combat all the way.

I have a character sitting in the village with a bit of leftover ID XP from the droid quests ... I should check if you can exchange the XP still.

hmm, well i sitll think ID would be useful for a grinder. I mean master in 3 hours means you could literally just sit by the trainer and go afk for a while rinse and repeat. I mean 4 boxes is not too bad

ahhh, but if you create an intersting mechanism powered by weights and using a small plank of wood as a seesaw you may be able to create a kind of afk grind

I have heard of such a device - was it called a drinky drinky bird?
Maybe if we built a large wooden badger...

Two wooden badgers. Or at least a badger with independently-moving paws, since you have to manipulate things in the UI.
But honestly, even without a partner, you max XP in what? 18 minutes? It's not like Dancer where you just leave yourself running for a day and come back to trade things in. This is like having to run to the bathroom every time you sit down.

ID xp can only convert to senses xp...and I only see the Luck tree as being beneficial there. Actually the whole village seems like a waste. I mean you never get those skill points back, ever...how lame.

The fact that you are stuck with what skills you take in the village (and that they even use up skillpoints permanently this way) is really a problem... and somewhat contradictory to the overall concept of the whole game of being able to completely change your character's template without being forced to start a complete new character.
ButI hope the devs will find the time to have a look into this issue as well once the CU and the expansion are finally done. And of course I hope they will be able to stay up to their word and have a very intensive look at all the entertainer professions, including us ID.

I could not agree more. The FS system appears to be a mismatch with the flexible point structure of the rest of the game. It's for that reason that I'm not even getting one box of FS stuff, even if it might help my socketing rate - in case, down the road, I want those skills for something else.
