once again, if you want to change species, roll a toon over or make it on another server

it really isn't all the damaging

Really, I ate up a FS male human to make a secondary toon i perfer to play..
I mean it is a game.

Plz think about it 5 secs.

So you are asking me either to leave my friends community wich I havebeen playing for 2 years now?

Or you propose me to reroll my char, lost my badges and history, lost my FS skills etc etc?

Are you really serious, I can't beleive I acutally read that ???

I want to enjoy content WITH my friends and without loosing all work put in my toon.

1. We think about it a lot, as people seem to think *we* should have this ability.

2. "We" aren't asking you to do anything. It's all *YOUR* choice.

3. "We" aren't proposing you reroll and lose anything.

4. Yes, you read that. If you spent any time at all reading our forum, you would know *why* you are getting these answers.

5. All we have been saying, in *every* thread about this is...if you don't like the species of your toon, you have a couple of OPTIONS. One, is just keep it and play it. Maybe you might end up liking it at some point. Two, if you hate your species THAT bad, you can kill it and make a new one, or keep that one and create another toon on another server. But again, these are YOUR choices.

All we do, as a group, is let you know that we CANNOT change species, Lucas Arts doesn't *want* us (or you for that matter) have this ability. AND we're offering suggestions, if you are really that unhappy with what you rolled up originally.

You have all the power here. You can say "ya know what, it's not that important" and continue on playing what you have or you can *choose* to make something different. If you kill your toon, you can always arrange to have their stuff in a house and maybe get one of your friends to "hold" your credits. This way, yes, you will have to start profs from scratch, but you'd still get your stuff back.

Honestly, we're simply players and we can only give you options that SOE/Lucas Arts have set out. It just so happens that this community *agrees* with the decision.

I know many players would like to be able to switch gender and/or the species of a toon they played a long time. SOE/LA have considered to include this option to the respec they offered after the CU went live, but decided against it. This does not mean it will never hapen, but for now it's not an option and nothing we will see in the near future.

We don't know what the future will bring us, though. Maybe there will be an option to change the species of an existing character, maybe there will be no such option. Maybe we will see an additional character-slot as a veteran reward one day (something I would really like to see), maybe unlocking a Jedi will stay the only way to get a second character slot. Or maybe Martians will conquer earth and relief us from all our problems one way or the other, or maybe not...

What I want to say is, that no amount of complaining or arguing will currently enable someone to change the species or the gender of your toons. But we will not forget about it, since there is a strong wish in the community about this feature and so we will keep this in mind.

4. Yes, you read that. If you spent any time at all reading our forum, you would know *why* you are getting these answers. Yes I spent some time reading and it may even be possible I was master ID before you even considered to take this profession and I enjoyed it a lot.

I fully disagree with all duerespect. If we don't discuss and argue this matter it will be lost in the shadows and that we both don't want it to happen.

Even we could turn the speice change in something great, let me explain :

changing speice would include some gameplay :

• First you need some DNAcompoents from a BE


• Second a Doc use this and does surgery + DNA transformation to the player


• Third you reborn so weak that you need to take some special chief enhanced food + some Doc medecine to be ok


• Fourth you are so awfull that you need a ID to tweak you in some decent looking char.


• Fifth you may want to see a Smuggler to have your identity (name) erased and changed

=> welcome to the new life

Don't you find the process fun adding diversity and lots of gameplay to the game?

I'm just saying....it's all about choice. And that's what we're saying. It's your choice, not ours.

I, for one, don't ever want this ability. For IDs or anyone else for that matter. It's too immersion breaking in my opinion. The game as a whole is already fraught with immersion breaking things as it is. Sti-fi is right, folks choose to be what their race/gender combonation is and that should be a choice they have to contend with unless they're willing ot reroll. There are already alot of things (darn near all things) in the game that a player can change givent the time. I'd like for at least this one to stay permanant such that persons have to think and live with their choices.

So true BUT : we are to live with dev saying we open the jedi slot on second char thenremovingthis and not giving us the choice to change WITHOUT loosing things. Don't seem right to me
