Thread: Argh! Why are people like this?

Accepting something you hate because you're too lazy to say otherwise... what "lesson" is that supposed to teach, other than the "I can make you look like a complete retard and you'll accept it out of spite" lesson?
I have a MID on one server and I too am very picky about my appearance (I haven't changed my main's appearance for about 18 months.. hair color change doesn't count, I can do that myself with nov ent.). If I choose to change the appearance on another toon from a different galaxy I'll log in my MID, mess around with what I want the other toon to look like. Take note of exact position of sliders, color locations (ie:"it's the red 3 boxes up and 2 boxes over from the bottom" etc) before I log in the toon I want ID'd.
If I don't like something I'll make sure it's done right before I accept any changes. (The poor ID that helped redesign my jedi got to deal with my pickiness for about 30 mins or more... though she did get a fat tip for it and we chatted for quite a while about ID both during and after the session)
My Grandmother always use to say "If you don't speak up for yourself no one else will". If I don't like something I'm sure as heck not going to just meekly accept it, and pay for it. I'll stay there as long as I have to to get it right, and if the ID just can't get it right, I'll cancel the session and tip /himher for their time (not nearly as much as what s/he would have gotten for completing the job.) Why pay for something you're not satisfied with?
It's mind boggling that people will just hit accept for something they don't want. (it's like paying for a hamburger and getting chicken nuggets.)
