What foundation? A timer that makes them level at an acceptable pace instead of total mastery of the profession in 40 minutes?
No, the fact that it now takes longer than any other profession in the game to master and during that entire time it is mind numbingly boring.
Because like every other profession, once a new profession gets some attention, albight a marketable skill, they all try and jump on it to capitolize. Where are these designers gonna be when we get no contetnt for another year and pink and purple hair loses it's lusture and stat mitigation is offered to everyone again? I'll tell you, they will be following the next flavor of the month, and I'll still be designing. These very people hem and haw until our profession is changed, and when it is, they will leave it.
That comment is elitest and out of line. You assume that everyone who's grinding now is cashing in? Tell that to people like Just_Bri, who's an avid ID but gave up on the grind because it was so unbelievably boring for her - and don't say "If they can't handle the grind they shouldn't do it" - by their very nature, IDers are social players who don't want to grind, therefore ID should be a profession that can be easily levelled through casual play. Did you have to sit through the levelling process?

Personally, I think the beginners mentioned in 5.) have a legitimate foundation for every horrible thing they say.

Unless one was a hologrinder, before patch 8.1, no one had the feignest interest in being an image designer. Know why? Because like every other profession, once a new profession gets some attention, albight a marketable skill, they all try and jump on it to capitolize. These people will tell me I am wrong, but I have thier names, and I will be sure to visit them in 6 months and askthem for a skin color change to see ifthey are still Master Image Designers. There is nothing wrong with the timer, I support it, and I even support it in favor that even masters should endure the timer and not have it removed at mastery. It encourages socializing for the truely social, and imho, if you aren't social, you should be firing a gun d00d...
Hrm, while i agree that there should be a timer, as the speed people could master ID prior to the changes made a mockery of the proffession, i do think the timer should be LESS thant it currently is, at LEAST halved in my opinion.
Ive had a que of upto 8 people at times for stat migrations on farstar- bestine. Around this time i turn my tag off. And go through the que till im free again and turn tag on. Now this is due to how long the timer is and i dont think people should have to wait an hour and a half just to get their stats migrated, that cannot be intended
