In no way am I saying though that ID work is easier or harder than combat professions(even though I think the majority of SWG could agree that there’s a major difference), but spending 30k on a stat migration that involves sitting in a tent for ten minutes over fighting for your life out in the field seems a bit unbalanced.
I have a TKM character that I play sometimes and I can tell you that I would *much* rather spend my time "fighting for my life" than sit in a tent and doing absolutely nothing for 10 minutes. Its also not much harder to stand there and spam specials than it is to just do nothing (its just hitting one key!). The difference that I see is that if you are a combat character and you don't like fighting, that is your own fault! You know what you are getting into when you start! I became an image designer for the social and the creative aspects of it. Then stat migration was dropped in my lap which has absolutely nothing to do with what I like to do. Because of this, *of course* I am going to charge quite a bit of money if I migrate stats at all (I try to avoid it).
Anyway, maybe if they made it so that before you can do any mission you have to stand completely still and "power up" for 10 minutes we would have some reasonable comparison between running combat missions and stat migration, but for now there is no comparison at all.

I totally agree with you on this point. Ten minutes is ten minutes regardless of what I do for you.

The other issue with stating a base price dependant on number of points moved is that it takes 10 minutes whether you're moving 1 point or 1000. And since I'm charging you for my time—not that I do stat migrations, but in theory—it going to cost you exactly the same.
