Thread: Annoying bug? character ruined?

Of course if this happens come to Wanderhome and have a experienced image designer work on you... You know... one that didn't macro thier way to the top...
Erm. There's currently no macro that also lets you accept ID changes, so unless you go afk while spamming someone else for 24 hours, there's not exactly a way to get master ID while afk. So why these derisive comments about IDers who use macros? Just because I don't want my hand to ache after an hour of grinding, I'm a lesser person or what?
Plus it sounds as if the person got hit by a *bug*, where the sliders set to 0 even before the ID changes anything. So could you care to explain just what the "experience" of an IDer got to do with that?
Ug! Well, this is awful! I must just have been lucky so far. I've never had this happen when I've worked on anyone. And no one has ever come to me after having it happen while another IDer worked on them. Adding weight to avatars is something I'm doing all the time. So many folks set themselves at zero weight at creation and it just looks so much better to have a few pounds on.
This sort of bug is something that could for sure keep players from going to see ID'ers at all. Wayyy not good. ![]()

Hrm. That is really odd. Before you delete the character, I'd definitely try a CS ticket though. I've gotten replies to my last tickets within a day or two.
If you have before/after screenshots, I'd definitely like to see them. Not that I don't believe you, but I think it might make tracking the bug down easier. You can send them to [email protected] if you like, and I'll toss them up on my website for viewing.
Sorry it took me some time to respond here. I've sent the pics to you Xixxix.
And..hey ronin!
Ok, I put them up for viewing.

Definitely different
. Prolfile shot is especially obvious I think, just look at the stomach area.
Yes i took some time with many ID's to try my weight step by step. All from 60 (i think - 60 made her a too large i think..oh im not an ID i dont remember the numbers) and down..nothing on weight seems to give my former body form back. If you look closely at the chest and back you'll see that she becomes thinner up there. She gets a more straight body. I thought that indicated muscle loss but as i mentioned, i have tried to alter my muscle build as well.
It's almost as the Avatar converts to some other body template..not the one you can customize in char creation.

I had been thinking for a while that my character was a little rounder in the hips than shehad beenin beta. Maybe they made a subtle adjustment before the game went live, but now the character is reverting to an older beta model?
It would be nice if Ood_Bnar (sp?) could see this. Can you use the bug tool in the SWG folder and attach your screenshots? They really need to see this so it can be fixed.
this is so true...
You know what I think it may be?
In character creation, twi'leks can get close to the halfway point in weight before thickening to undesirable levels...they still have no pooge, a definite waist, etc.
In character creation, a rodian cannot go much above 10% before they thicken undesirably.
In the game, the weight slider for twi'leks is muuuuch different...about 10% starts getting noticeably chunky.
Now that I go through and look at these pictures...that are exactly the same as my character (a twi'lek who used to be curvy) and I go and look at my female rodian (with about 10% weight, boyishly thin), I have to wonder if that isn't the problem.
Does the act of designingon weight or height move us into the wrong race's body type?

Umm yes, there is...
This is a serious bug, I have hated the way my character looked ever since this happened, even though I loved how I looked when I started.
And there's no way to fix it. I know we are low-priority, but this is a bug that can affect everyone, not just us, and no one, not even us, can fix it.
so...I guess...bump.
