THAT (above)is one thing I would like to see GONE from the profession.
Hopefully you allknew off the bat that that was satirical.
Actually, I would like to see (I knowsome of you aregonna scream) craftables for IDs to make- wigs, lipstick, eyeshadow. Along with 3D facial hair for the men (and heck, the ladies, too), tattoos and scars for all species, new hairstyles, and brighter colors for human and zabrakian skin.
This isn't a "Horror" game...

Personally I would like to see more options for makeup. One thing that has bothered me since the start of this game is that there is no blush at all. Most female characters would look so much better if we had a choice for a little blush to brighten or even a little bronzer to dust across the cheeks. For the guys i would like to have a selection of lip colours to use to make it look like they have lips, cause right now they don't..

About the timers I can say, that if the devs stick to the settings they tested on TC last week it should be ok... 4 minutes for a statmigration isn't really very long and bearable for both, ID and customer as well. What we really need is a fix for the armor-display-bug and some more stuff to change that you cannot get from the char-creation.
The promised Tattoos and glitter-effects would be a good start, as well as the 3D-facial hairs. But we know that this is art-content and takes time.
Another important issue would be to improve the UI even more.
- numbers for sliders
- a better managment to match and select colors (the panes are very very small and difficult to match with other colors especially fom cloth and armor)
- the customer-side UI needs some info for the customer to actually see what parts have been changed
- The ID-side interface is way to big. Maybe giving popups for the sliders and selectwindows will help here instead of keeping the palettes in view all the time even when you don't need them.
But such changes are pretty complex, too and would require some more time again.

As much as I'd love to see new ID content, realistically, I'd like to see them fix the bugs we already have in ID before they add all new stuff that will only add even more bugs.
As mentioned, the "Armor Bug", though it doesn't limit to just armor, is terribly annoying. Nothing like telling your clients they are going to have to relog because they just changed their outfit, or changed their outfit 10 minutes ago. I run into this several times a day. Whether they are taking off their armor helmet or changing into clothes that will let them see the proposed body changes easier, its just a pain. Somewhere along the line this bug popped up and it just needs to die :/
Or the bug with humans, and possibly zabraks too, that when they go from a hairstyle that has no hair to a style with hair and you add color, they can't see the color change in their window. It's great they let the IDs actually ADD the color now, because I remember before not being able to do that in the same session, but it doesn't help if the proposed color only shows up in my window and not theirs. Been running into that one recently too.
So my main ideas for "improvement to ID" would be to fix outstanding bugs so that things actually work the way they are intended to. But as for the new content, I agree with much of what has been listed so far. I'd love new hairsyles, tattoos, fur patterns, ridges, frills, markings, etc. I think body tattoos and scars would be extremely popular too. I get asked about those all the time.

Most of the things I'd like to see have been said, so I'll just second the few I really want to see.
Slider numbers would be wonderful to have back again. I think men need lipstick, too. Maybe less shades or a different palette from women, but regardless, the colorless lips are the prime reason why I think humans and zabraks look unattractive in this. And yes, I do mean "lipstick", because if they did implement lip color, there's going to be someone out there who wants pure black or ruby red lips. I might as well be prepared.
My biggest client complaint from men is that facial hair color is too light. Women only complain about this when I change their eyebrow color, but that's less noticeable than a full beard that's off color.
Someone mentioned crafting wigs and make-up kits above. That's not a horrible idea, but I love the entertainer professions because they're a non-combat field that doesn't craft. That, and those two changes are asked for rather often from me by dancers. If all I have to do is sell them a wig or a tube of lipstick, you sort of take away the socialness of the salon (if I'm going to sit in there all day, I want people to talk to, darn it!).
I don't know if this last thing falls under ID or tailor, but I'd like more fashion accessories. Earrings, noserings, lekku bracelets, body glitter (or hair), and my big one: glasses. Not those silly special edition goggles, but normal, nerdy glasses. I suppose that is more tailor oriented, isn't it...
One question I have is that everyone asks for a reduced timer for stat migrations, but someone also mentioned making the wait client side. I'm a little torn about this, because while the 10 minute wait can be unbearable, it's grounds for me to charge 10 to 20k. So, on the one hand, my greed wants the timers to stay, but on the other hand, it might be nice to free up some time... Anyway, I hope this post drives a few points forward.

If we could make wigs my Twilek could have temporary hair!!! Woot!
Allot of good ideas, lets hope the next correspondent / devx hear our cries of wants!
I's like to see a seperation on the guys for the Facial hair / eyebrows Everyone's hit on my concerns for UI and sliders and more hair styles.
I'd like to see a better color seperation and grouping in the pallet. It's silly to have the colours all over the place as you level up in hair your pallet should be more like a paint program where it's a rainbow, and the colours are all beside each other.. this jumping rows and coloums is real silly.

Here is my top 10:
1.) fix the known bugs
2.) reduce migration times
3.) increased xp progression
4.) more ID tents/venues (Personally, I am against droids. Migrating module for for multiplayer starships?)
5.) client notice of modifications previous to final acceptance
6.) names or numeric values for colors, styles, etc.
7.) less drastic aging options (
8.) body tattoos and piercing (facial tattoos should be exclusively Zabrak)
9.) Better butts and hips (doesn't necessarily have to be a new slider, they could just make them all better.)
10.) limited eyeshadow pallete for men (more make-up in general would not be terrible either)

I would love to see:
- reduced timers for stats
- darker colorsfor tats (they look faded)
- a droid for those times I'm out somewhere and someone wants an SM and the nearest tent is 6000m away
- different shaped chin (currently, they look like a bump, I'd like to have to option for them to be more contoured)
- A way to show players what colors and other options that are available for their character
- 20 hands so I can work on all those players at once
- A magic wand to change the attitude of all those rude players who "demand service" (or at least a manners book to throw at them :smileytongue

I just thought of this when I was stopped by an Imperial patrol. They discovered I was a rebel and started attacking me, then a messaged came on the screen and told me I had to see a rebel recruiter or the empire would continue to attack me (or something like that) and I checked and sure enough it made me go from covert to overt. I was thinking that if I changed my appearence, then the empire wouldn't recognize me anymore. So what do you think of this: When a patrol forces you to go overt, instead of or in addtition to going to a recruiter to go back to covert, you can go to an image designer to alter your appearence so the empire would no longer recognize you (reasoning that they have face recognition technology). That would make image designers more valuable to the game. I don't know much about this profession, I've never done it and I've never used one, but I thought this would be cool.
Future stuff:
If Smugglers ever start actually smuggling anything, and lets say they get caught too many times and become notorious (get some sort of TEF) and get attacked everywhere they go by the empire, an image designer would be usefull there too to change their appearence.
Something else that would be cool, is that if for some quests, you need to disguise your self as someone and it would require the services of an image desinger to complete the quest.
Anyone like any of these ideas?

Reaction to a couple of the comments above -
1) Please no on the client-side sliders, even just for viewing. I remember someone mentioning a while back that the sliders depended on your screen resolution or your UI width or something like that. If that's the case, Idon't want to get into a debate as to what "move it down a click" means when our slider bars don't match up.
2) I believe I read something about the UI being currently dependent partly on the resolution you play your game at. If you play at a higher resolution, the UI is smaller? Anyway, if your machine won't run a higher resolution, you can just use Alt to minimize / maximize your windows at will, and get them out of the way when you're waiting for a stat migration, however long it ultimately winds up being.
Also, I do like the facepaint idea mentioned above. It reminds me of the crowd of podrace-watchers in Ep. 1. If you look at them, a large number of them are made to look alien just by having stripes slathered about their eyes or down their foreheads or something. Of course, it may not be a very human thing.
Oh. I still want Wookiee dreads and braids.

It's not exactly smaller…the way it works, there is a minimum width and height in pixels for the UI. If your screen resolution is suitably high enough there will be plenty of space left over beyond that minimum size. If you're running at the minimum screen resoultion supported by the game, the interface will dominate most of it. (The difference is noticeable even between 1280x1024—my 21" desktop monitor—and 1280x800—my 15.4" widescreen laptop monitor.)
