Thread: Brainstorm Thread for any and all Ideas to Improve ID
- Cantinas, Theaters etc be places where the timer for cosmetic and body changes are reduced. (Stat migrations can stay in the tents though.)
- Nail polish (this would look real cool on the claws of a Trandoshan's feet)
- Scars
- Tattoos for non-Zabraks
- 3-D Facial hair for males
- More hairstyles, ridges, lekku etc
- The ability to give Zabraks hairstyles seperately from their horns ( have a favorite horn style for my Zabraks, but it doesn't come with my favorite hairstyle)
- The ability to ID vendors
- A "Register Location" ability such as Dancers and Musicians have.
Note: this list is not in any particular order and I will probably add more items as I think of them. Please add your own lists to this thread.

- body piercings
- multi-tonal hair (i.e. base color & hilites)
Client-side sliders were hotly debated when we were discussing what we wanted for the new interface and almost universally reviled. Many, if not most, IDs feel that such functionality would turn us into walking terminals and don't like the idea.

2.Client side ID screen needs to be improved imo. Ideally to me they should have all the options we can see and have the different tabs to check the sliders of their features and the colours, though they wouldn't be able to change anything, just monitor. They'd see all the options that the ID'er had available to offer for colours, patterns, hair etc. I think this would make doing the ID part of our profession much better as the client would have a better idea of what is available to them. They can see the colours, the hairstyles etc instead of giving vague descriptions on what they want, and asking us to go through every available colour for them.

Agreed on the slider idea. With stat migrations I feel enough like a service terminal already to not want to add to it. However, on the client side, I'd like to see a general "allow modifications" checkbox. This would give the clients who only want stat migrats peace of mind that no changes would be made to them at all besides stats unless they allowed it. This would be a blanket allow/deny option for all ID work, not a per catagory toggle. I think that would be the most easy and elegentway to implement it.

About the timers I can say, that if the devs stick to the settings they tested on TC last week it should be ok... 4 minutes for a statmigration isn't really very long and bearable for both, ID and customer as well.

For me, it's not an issue of what's bearable, it's an issue of fairness and equality amongst professions. Why in the world should we be forced to sit there and do nothing for ten minutes? Even FOUR minutes? That's always been a big issue with me, and it's one I would really like to see changed.
But yes, the bugs - especially the armor bug - really needs to be fixed. It's causing problems everywhere.
I know what you mean and I have to agree, that the time-reduction is only a compromise. But it's one I think we can accept as long as there is no better solution to how design the whole migration process in a more desirable way. And it does not mean we don't need to try to be creative and find this more desirable way ![]()
Even with just the ability to monitor there were serious problems. Too lazy to dig up the thread, but I think it was called "Let's Talk About: The ID UI" or something like that.

Maybe I didn't make it clear enough. What I meant is taht the sliders would be there so the client could monitor the changes, not make the changes himself. I thought about that idea as well and we would just become terminals.
