Thread: Publish 9 and Image Designer change updates.
- Master Image Designers will have their timers reduced by 50% for cosmetic and physical changes outside the tent.
- Master Image Designers will have their timers removed entirely for cosmetic and physical changes insde the tent.
- Stat migration xp will be raised from 600xp to 2000xp.
- Image Designer tentshave had new special music composed for them. Thiswas delivered to me last Friday and should be in place sometime this week. There are three separate tracks, each specialized to fit the mood of the decor of each of the three tent themes.

- How do you intend to address the further devaluation of non-Master Image Designers caused by the Master Image Designer timer reductions?
- Increasing stat migration XP is good, but:
- Most image designers do not enjoy performing stat migrations. They are tedious, the types of players that want them are not the type that enjoy socialization, and in general there are harassment issues over pricing.
- Assuming an Image Designer were to level in an "optimal" fashion it would still take 39 hours, 11 minutes, and 40 seconds of straight Image Design work. This is still not in line with other elite professions and is not justified by the "critical function" that was forced upon us.
- It was bad enough that a "critical function" was forced upon us in such a way that it changed the tenor of the profession to such a degree that not only was a preemptive nerf required, but that we now have a thread solely detailing how to deal with in-game harassment. Now you're making it the most attractive method of gaining XP in Image Design, further devaluing the aesthetic core of the profession.
- How do you intend to account for these issues and to bring Image Designer XP gain into line with other elite professions?
- Uh…music. Yay. How about XP gain? Please? This is a game breaking issue as evidenced by the myriads posts about it—this needs to be addressed with more than a vague promise that it is being monitored.

Hello,
I wanted to give everyone an update on what Publish 9 holds for the Image Designers. Kwee has worked hard for all of you and while not every detailsmighthave goneexactly as the way you or Kweewould have wished, she has been instrumental in shaping the Image Designer enhancements at every step of the way and well beyond the initial release.
With all due respect, its not a matter of details. IMO the profession is now FUBAR. I don't question the amount of work that went into the redesign; I do question the quality of the outcome of the redesign. I know it's not constructive to point out problems without any attention to solutions. Luckily, the ID forum has a plethora of alternatives posted and we have the best Profession Correspondent in SWG.
I know that resources are tight right now with all the revamps and JTLS in the pipeline. When development resources become available, please fix Image Design.
Actualy I like the new music for the ID tents matching the theme for whatever tent your in, I think that helps imersion immensely.
Good job DEVS.![]()
(now if we could only get more of this)
Well my dad always said "if you can't say anything good don't say anything at all"..... Besides it obviously does no good to give constructive feedback to this dev team.
Seriously, image designer has to be one of the least played professions and I think it's kinda silly to be spending any time whatsover on them considering how many highly played combat professions are broken, ie. bounty hunters or commando's and many others. Fluff stuff like this keeps getting fixed, new vehicles get added new dungeons, but where's the fixes to issues that have been around since launch?

I think the best change you could make for image designers is to remove the profession entirely from the game. It's a 100% fluff profession that serves no purpose to most players as anything more than an annoyance. There's hardly anyone in the profession and it's nigh impossible to find one when you need a change. I'd rather see those terminals in the image design tents become self serve terminals where i can just go and pay a fee and get some changes done. Would be a nice credit sink as well.

Thank you for so elequently proving my point about the type of @$$holes we're now forced to deal with because we are the sole avenue for stat migrations.

Simply put, increasing the xp for a stat migration does not remedy the horrendously slow experience system, which is grossly disproportionate to that of any other profession.
Nor does it make doing those stat migrations an enjoyable gaming experience.
