Just got me thinking... awhile ago my friend, ex-Master ID. Told me about an Imp (keep in mind we are Rebel) that was being a total ahole to my friend. This man wants to be taller and is wearing a full set of comp armor. So basically, he can't see a thing going on to himself.
So, my friend goes ahead and makes him abit taller. Also, making his skin pale-white, giving him pink cornrows, and freckles. This man of course forgot my friends name
Let that bea lesson, resprect IDer's!

Oh man! I so wish I'd thought of that 5 minutes ago!
I was sitting raising ID in Theed tent when I got a /tell. Never met the person before, don't know how they found me, I'm not searchable, but the /tell said "hiho I need a stat migration".
Biting my tongue so as not to reply "Hiho. That's nice dear. Try saying 'Hello' or 'Please' and you might actually get one" I weakly replied "Sure, I'm just in the middle of one right now, I'll be free in 7 minutes".
So she arrives, I do the migration. Half way through she says "What about the holoemotes".
Biting tongue again, (ouch, this is getting sore), I reply "Sure"
Migration over she stands and says "How much?"
"I don't charge," I reply, "But a 'Thankyou' would be nice
"
No thankyou, just you have new mail. And I'm 10000 credits richer. I sent it back.
She was also wearing full composite. What a mess I could have made

I have to say.
A: Shame shame shame on you. We dont mess with ppls avatars... ever and never. How would you feel if you come in for a trim and comes out with a buzzcut.
B: Don't encourage thi sort of behavior... We don't need paranoid cutomers... or should i say more paraniod customers.
C: we never ever mess with a customers avatar. If you don't like working on a full comp... don't.
Just my opinions.

From my experience in MMORPGS alot of these internet tough guys are kids. I am sorry but much like RL some little kid is not gonna get away with lack of respect for me or anyone. I have met my share of jerks in the ID tent and you betI would have done that hadI thought about it. It's a freaking avatar and it can be changed right back and lesson is learned. I can't grow my RL hair back diffrent situation imo. But still don't PO your hairdresser.

Honestly, it comes down to the fact that you should not go to an ID that you a) do not know or b) no one has recomended to you. In real life, I wouldn't go to a salon without knowing something about it, so in game I wouldn't go to an ID without knowing about them.
As a joke a few times I changed the hair of some of my guildmates while they had full comp armor on(one poor guy had a pink fro for a while), but they knew that they could come to me and I'd change it right back. However, I think it is uncool to do it to someone you are not friendly with. I think that is the problem with this game sometimes, people do not understand boundries.

How about...don't go afk during a stat migration...for 20 min! It only takes 10min for the migration and we have other customers to tend to....that's my new pet peeve that I just experienced today lol...

I am of the opinion that an ID session should be done with respect for both parties, for as long as they deserve it. If either party does something to negate that respect in the other's eyes, the session should be cancelled and the customer should find a new ID.
I've done this as a joke, on a friend of mine (twice, actually).I can't imagine actually doing it to a customer. Some things cross the line in my book, and I have my reputation as an ID to think of. However abrasive I can be on the boards, I don't run my ID business through intimidation.
By the same token, customers need to learn respect for their ID as being just another person providing them a service. ID is not a necessity, and rude clients have a way of getting around to other ID's. If you cause problems for one ID, you're going to have a MIGHTY hard time finding someone else who's willing to work on you. It's what I love most about this profession - the community.

I'm usually along the lines of staying civil with a customer unless they are totally rude, but just recently I had a VERY rude Rebel smack-talking imperials and insulting me over the fact that I was obviously not rebel. Just as I committed, I slapped a single-type Holoemote into the deal... an Imperial one
