Thread: Help me get to master ID!!
Hi. I am one of the few people who are going to master ID, but not because I want to. I have total respect for anyone who chooses this profession. It's just not for me, but My holocron told me "the Path to absolute power lies in Master Image Designer." I don't want to take anyones' business or create any sort of ID name for myself. I just want to get it done and move on. That's where you people come in. I want to Macro grind my way through this as quickly and legally as possible. No exploits please. Just helpful information on getting through this ASAP. Here's what I want to know:
1. How long can I expect this to take?
2. Is there a good macro or set of macros that can make this go faster?
3. I have read some of the guides on ID, but didn't see any macro listings or command lists. Got any?
4.Anyone on the Gorath Server willing to help me out as a guinea pig?
Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated.

Since I have a great fondness for people who have respect for us (something we see altogether too rarely from the holocron ID's on this board) I'd be glad to help by giving you some tips.
1. I am frankly envious of people who get master ID in their holocron, because it IS one of the easiest to master. It can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days, assuming you do nothing but grind, grind, grind. I mastered in two days.
2. Yes, there is a macro you can use. I have always used freckles as a modifier, which you get at ID 4 in novice entertainer. Before that, you can use hair color. Here is the command:
/image;/imagedesignSetValue hair_color (whatever number their hair color is, you'll have to check that for yourself);/pause 5;/ui action toolbarSlot *number*. I always put it in the very last spot on my hotbar, so it reads ui action toolbarSlot23.
I would recommend you invest in a couple of crates of muon gold. They add 500 to each mind attribute and last for 10 minutes. This is why i always liked to use freckles for mine (which btw, you just replace hair_color *number* with freckles 0) because you get 100 points of xp for freckles and when you're on muon gold, it will take somewhere around 68 mind to do it. That's a pretty good deal. If you add a dancer's mind buff on top of that, you shouldn't run out of mind at all. I can get 12k xp out of one dose of muon gold, if I have a mind buff on top of it.
3. There are command strings you can use to change things rather than clicking the buttons. Some of these are: freckles, hair_color, eye_color. You can experiment around with others as you see fit.
4. I can't really answer that, sinceI am not on the Gorath server, but I know there are others here who are. Your best bet for this is to go onto the Gorath server forum and put out a plea. 
Or, just hit up an active cantina. You can generally find someone willing to be a guinea pig.
One tip: make sure you do not change anything that you can't change back.

Please troll somewhere else. The original poster was honest about not planning to keep ID, but was also very respectful of our desire to play this profession and was wishful of some legitimate help. I was only too glad to help him with it.
This is a forum meant for constructive discussion - including, but not limited to, answering each other's questions, pointing out bugs, suggesting improvements for the image design profession, and general comments about common experiences with customers. Even the occasional holocron question.
But I'm more than slightly annoyed by these looky-lous who pop onto our boards and annouce/boast triumphantly "I mastered your profession in 4 hours." Yes.... and?
You just announce what *you* did without any explanation of any type. Is it supposed to be insulting because you think our profession is easy/frivolous? Are we supposed to be impressed with you? Are we supposed to divine how you accomplished this from your one-sentence comment?
Without further elaboration, this revelation about your personal grinding experience is of no value to the community. So why bother posting it?
