As a male ID I have been made fun of, asked if I'm really male, and generally abused. Is anyone else out there the same way?

I play a female toon but am really male. What is wrong with those of us who are talented and like doing makeup. I have even thought of giving up my career and getting in to cosmetic sales. Lol. Think of all the women I would meet.

Sadly, this game is full of closed minded, homophobic children. SOE has no chat safe guards up to protect players from sexual harassment (because that is what that is) beyond the /ignore feature.
As an ID I was never disrespected to that extent by anyone- called some namesseveral timesbecause I had the uttel gaul to charge for stat migrations. As a dancer, I would say it is worse. I took up dancing again the other day, and since thenI have begun have been called these names:
wh*re
c*nt
b*tch
stupid wh*re who likes to eat too much d*ick
stupid wh*re who likes to be smacked in the face by too much d*ick
... among other things. So, I have now CSR ticked this twice and gotten two responses I am not going to tolerate. Today I have full plans on contacting SOE over the phone. I am on a mission to have these two players (who tag teamed me because they are married in real life) at least suspended from the game to show them that they cannot treat people this way just because they have the anonymity of a computer screen.
I'm sorry, but by SOE not doing anything about this kind of treatment, they are only enforcing players behaving like this. In the real world had these people said these things to me, I would have contacted my lawyer. HOWEVER, I don't have that kind of recourse in this game. I will see to it that they are punished.

:To report abuse please use /report (player id) yadda yadda so a report can be generated?
I find /addignore user/spammer works fairly well.

I'm a guy, I have a female toon. I don't play an ID (wish I could), but I was standing in Bestine, minding my own business, and some little Rodian asks if I need armour or anything, I said "no thanks". His reply after a few minutes of nothing- "Well, see you later b1tch". I wanted to reach through the 'net and strangle the little **edit**. I hate that crap, I wish there was an IQ test to let people log on to the 'net.

I'm a male ID, and a male dancer, and a male in real life. So far, most of my abuse comes when I dance, although that let up a bit once hologrinding male dancers appeared. Oddly enough, under the new system, I get less abused as an ID. Under the old one, I used to get stingy tips (if at all) compared to the female IDs I knew. The worst was a man who called me a "fudge-packing [expletive] [expletive]". All because I wouldn't drop my rancor hunting to fly to tatooine and do his hair. You just deal with it, I guess, except for losers like that last one. I contacted all the IDs I knew to refuse him business.
As for people asking you if you're a man, just laugh about it, I guess. Even my friends have asked me that.I keep tally of the number of times I've been called "Miss" or "her" or anything like that... it's reached 50 now. I just have a good chuckle and ask my wife what it's like to be married to the hottest girl in the galaxy

On bria.. I married a hottie Male zabrack that was a MID ..
I got a bit upset when he came to see me in a complete pink makeover, and hot pink robes.. satin pink hair it was just the ultimate in what colour and attire a male zabrak shoul not wear... I beleive I kicked hm out of the house and told him to think about what he did wrong. this was right after I finished Jabbas theme and I was all "I'm Anni the bounty hunter" who wants some rifle sniping action.. anyone anyone?
best part of fighting is making up. woo wooo Sadly.. he disapeared.. *sniff*

I have never been abused, or made fun of, however I have witnessed some idiotic antics towards male dancers in the past. If you have combat skills you can always challenge said person to a Duel and see how long he laughs after he is laying on the ground. if you are a non com, just roll with it, and try to be witty and charming about it. But playing a character who is a male Image Designer should not have a stigma attached to it.
Look at it this way, we are part personal trainers, part plastic surgeons and there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed or embaressed about. This profession allows some of us an outlet for our creative sides and I for one love it.
If you are really getting "hammered" then you should report the abuser immediately. The good people that created this game do not look kindly upon griefing in any form and go to some lengths to make sure it is not repeated. I'm sorry that there are some people out there that choose to be immature and hurtful towards other people, but you have the tools to deal with them, don't be afraid to use them.

Boo, once in a blue moon I need an edit button...
I'm the "non-combat" situation. I have some modest TK levels, but that doesn't stand a chance against the Rifleman/Fencer/FOTM that likes to start fights. That doesn't mean you have to take abuse from them, either. I prefer to outwit them.. draw them into verbal arguments, and then proceed to make them look like an idiot, a jerk, or both. ID tents are usually near crowded areas, so plenty of passerbys hear what a moron they are. They usually try to draw me into a duel, at which point, I consider the argument won. If they want to hide behind the fact that they can't be punished, then so will I. I do *not* have to accept their duel. As long as I remain calm and avoid vulgarity, they end up with a bruised ego, not to mention searching for a new ID to do their stats.
