Thunderheart is going to come back to read his top ten answers thread soon But only a few ID'ers have posted! Please every ID reading this forum give him some input. Reading Jaela's post for example reminds me of what an eternal optimist I am Thunderheart needs to see a variety of opinions and takes. We have more dev tracker readers posting than ID's! And you guys need to help me encourage him to try ID sooner rather than later I'll keep nagging him too

I would but it won't let me post to the thread. It always gives me some sort of HTML permission error.

Ugh yeah, I thinkit has something to do with where TH pastes his files from, but I may be wrong. When quoting TH, it's safest to cut and paste everything, including your responses into notepad, then paste that into your reply. If all fails at least you have a backup. Same goes for typing anything up in Word. Word covers anything you type in code the forums won't let you use (but I'm guessing allows the devs to use) so you have to transfer it to notepad first

Kwee, this is one of those times where the LAST thing you want is me posting a reply. Remember the saying 'If you can say anything good, don't say anything at all'? TH has confirmed my worst fears about the current status and future prospects of ID. What we see is what we have...for the forseeable future.

6 months ago I was an enthusiastic ID, Dancer, and totally enamored withthe game with its great scenery , animals, new cities , the opportunity to actually raise a pet to adulthood,,plus tons of places to discover and elements of the game to figure out and to just simply get the experience the game had to offer.

3 months ago I started to become disillusioned by the lack of any meaningful changes to ID or Dancer and at the same time was recognizing the growing problem of afk gaining,,

2 months ago I survived the ch patch, even though actually taming a wild pet is no longer worthwhile, (be pets are far better) and still enjoy playing as a MCH/Pistoleer. But when holoing began to take place, the afk gain problems spread from entertainer to all the other professions that could take advantage of the easy way to skill gain. I began to see afk combat professions at various spots,,that would literally camp for 12 hours or longer and not ever move.

1 month ago I became convinced that they are so totally overwhelmed with issues in every profession and all aspects of the content issue that there wouldnt be much "love" sent our way as entertainers and Id's.

In TH's post, it seems as if they dont really know what its like to actually play one profession as a master for more than a couple of weeks,,and they seem to think that afking is still ok,,even though they think its going to go away,,,and that cantinas are a pleasant social gathering spot,,,I simply dont agree,,that they are ,,that afking will go away,,and that they really understand how the lack of new options impacts players and their happiness and fun with the game.

I honestly think they make changes to the issues that they believe are the most game crippling and changes that they hope will stop the subscription cancels and create subscription starts,,and the % in ID and entertainer professions is so low that we dont matter in the overall picture. I predict that soon ,,SOE will add NPC bots in cantinas for BF healing, which will satiate the majority of combat types,,and if they dont add options to ID, it will become even harder to find one than it is now. Once holoing ends, I predict there will only be a handful of ID's on any server,,and not many new ones starting out. The social professions are dying quickly now and nothing is going to happen soon that will revive them.

I could be optimistic ,,but I need something specific,,not just vague references by someone whois trying to placate a population that is becoming more restless by the day. And I didnt see any thing in his answers that indicated to me that we would see any meaningful new options or changes in the forseeable future. Did I misunderstand what I read??

PS to Kwee,, Plus, they cant fire me either.

Jaela, on the firing comment...

I was being very honest in my responses. I really am optimistic about us getting things, and my hope was renewed by seeing TH's responses. Sure we didn't getsecure dateson anything, butthese are rarely given out, and for good reason. There is just no way for them to know exactly how long something will take to develop, and emergencies might come up that divert dev time. TH's responses seemed to indicate more coming our way than I thought we would get.

We have gone from, we have no idea if we will ever get anything new...to some things are in development for us. The bugs are definitely an issue, but as I've said I'm doing all I can on that front, providing information when I can. Over the months I've been just as discouraged as anyone else, but I'm the eternal optimistic and that will always comethrough Nevertheless be assured that I am persistent and consistent (prob annoyingly so) in reminding TH that the community's morale is low, we feel like the lowest priority profession, and that we have many severe bugs. I just can't stress enough that we have gone from being told our wishes are low priority (and we all know why) to being told that some of our wish list items are in development, and others will be brought to the table by TH.

All that said, all of the posts to the top ten answers have been GREAT! They certainly will communicate to TH what I"ve been telling him. The community feels attention to the profession is long overdue, and is starting to get restless and bored with the content, and beyond sick of the bugs. Entertainer professions feel abandoned.

Edit - Baby hit some random button,I'd better go see what he wants

Very nicely said Jaela,

I really like the line "I could be optimistic ,,but I need something specific,,not just vague references by someone whois trying to placate a population that is becoming more restless by the day."

You should post this in Thunderheart's post.

I apologize if somehow I offended you ,,what I was saying about not being fired,,was that I felt TH needed a "thump" in the head and they wont bother me if I gave him 2-3 more thumps,,hehe,,

You have to be an eternal optimist if you are going to be a correspondent in this game and we want you to maintan a positive working relationship with TH,,,so its up to others to thump him,,,

Not at all Jaela, I was worried you might think that I just wanted to convey how surprised I was to not see everyone jumping for joy I was really glad, like I posted earlier this morning I wanted TH to see a variety of opinions, and a bunch of joy joy ID'ers would make him think I was crazy for telling him morale was so low, and maybe let him relax too much as our lobbyist
