Thread: Newsflash: ID Building (Tent) now on Test Center
PS. Big thanks to NJ62's Clytemnestra for funding my traveling around, Topaz was pretty close to broke
PPS. The little tiny green tent to the left of the Theed tent is way behind the tent, has a MErchant trainer in it, just looks attached from the angle I took the picture
Awesome! I didn't even see this change in the notes - although I might have missed it. Although I'm not an ID, I can give some constructive feedback regarding the screenshots posted.
The Theed tent looks REALLY out of place. Although it's an awesome design, it looks almost gothic and I'm not sure if it fits the Victorian style Theed buildings surrounding it. Or maybe that's the point and I'm completely missing it - that IDs are supposed to be unique and trendy ![]()
Terminals look cool - is it just me or do they look a lot like the cloning facility ones?
Overall I think this is a great addition to the game. All too often am I looking for an ID to make some changes but can never find one. A good place for IDs to get business, I think!
The terminals is kind of a standard "Personal Scanner" thingie, but with pink grpplers (very cute)...
So I think its works fine
I could frankly care less what it looks like. It's additional content for ID's! *rejoices*
(I have only seen the Theed Tent)
As Kwee said, they do look very clinical inside.
There should be some sort of couch or flowers
hanging from the ceeling or decorations (something!).
As it is now there are just four terminals... thats it
But when I arrived to theed just after server got up again.
I saw that interesting purple tent buy the cantina. And I
must say that it does not look "out of place".
It looks special and unique.

Those are I believe the only two cities that have them on Test Center at this time.
FYI, there is also one in Moenia. It's green with purple trim, and is right next to the starport.
In case you're wondering who I am, I'm not an ID, but I sawthetent with "Image Design Terminals" in it when I logged in tonight, and thought what the heck is that? So I came here. They look quite nice, and I'm glad ID's are finally getting some dev attention. Best of luck to you all ![]()

Thanks for the info, and the support! Stay tuned and see what love they heap on us next. I haven't quite grasped this dose yet... it hasn't sunk in, LOL.
i think its awsome i really hope they make it a player building(especialy in publish 8)

Corre hat off:
My thoughts
- We need these buildings as player city structures. Every single need that you have, whether fixing your car or being cloned, can at this moment be satisfied by a player city, with the exception of starports. Every other profession has an equivalent player city building: cantinas, medical centers, etc. We need to have an equivalent player city building: it's only fair and it's only practical. Depending on how "necessary" or even "beneficial" these tents end up being, it seems unfair to corral the ID'ers into anNPCcity to garner the benefits of these buildings, when no other class has that restriction. Particularly, those ID'ers who live on remote planets, such as Dantooine or Lok, will have a hard time using these buildings (I'm presuming there will be no ID tents in outposts). It seems unfair to encourage players to live on remote planets, and then add ina feature that is not available in player cities.
- The inside is ugly and not what we wanted. The number one thought about the ID building is the lighting must be good. The lighting in the tent is lousy. Maybe the interface will take care of that. Obviously, if it were a player building, we could add lights. In addition, the terminals are clinical and don't have the "salon" feel that many of us desire. They look like cloning terminals. We want chairs and couches. The devs should model these decorations on how we have chosen to decorate our own salons.
