Thread: ID Training -- Etiquette?
Just out of curiousity, how many of you up and coming ID's bother to tip us Masters who are training you? I personally paid my way through the entire skill tree, but I train other ID's all the time and they rarely if ever tip.
I don't ASK for a tip, but shouldn't this be a common courtesy? The skills aren't cheap and for us to wait around for you to come find us for training and such takes away from our normal times with customers, doesn't that in itself deserve some compensation?
Have a bit of consideration please the next time you're asking for training. =/
Make sure to throw up your title if you have one and just try to be strong!! The cantina is famous for morons that don't like to pay unfortunately but it's a good place to find decent folk too. Just be alert when you're playing music to people coming in asking for a new hairstyle or whatever. I tend to ignore the 733T speak people because they're normally 12 and have no comprehension of the business world anyway. ![]()
Yup, as Nat said keep the faith there are nice folks out there that understand we have a skill that can't be bought from a vendor. Sadly your not on my server or I'd throw some business your way. ![]()

I always tipped everyone who trained me.
I may not have tipped alot, but it seemed to surprise them that someone would actually tip for training.
I don't expect a tip, but I would appreciate one. Apprentice points work no matter what you are training in, so if you have more than one profession the app points are definitely a bonus. Any other skill you try getting trained in, they won't even do it w/out you paying first for them to train you.
I don't ask for it, or expect it, but it would be nice if other were considerate and did so.
Since I like to hang out where I'm the only master ID, I tend to do a fair amount of training. I've only been tipped for it a few times, but that never really bothers me. Yeah, I had to pay for my training, but who cares. I get app exp for training others, and it never hurts to help someone else.
