Thread: Body art

I think a way to make more people want to become image designers is to just give us some ability that would help other players in combat. Even dancers and musicians can heal mind wounds when a tent is built after combat. I think a great idea would be to allow us to paint body art on people that can do various things. I know that food and spices already increase stats so I am not asking for that. But what about war paint designs that grant special abilities such as mesmerize or even war paint that would actually grant higher critical rates or special attacks. Camo paint that offers some kind of concealment bonus would be nice. The camo could lower the chances of being hit or something.

Yes by making us more functional in PVP we would have more people wanting to become image designers. I do kinda like not having to compete for customers though

Is there a place somewhere to post ideas for new abilities? Did I post this in the wrong place? The reason I ask is because not very many people seem to have read it.

Devs, could you please do anything necessary to make sure non-Zabraks NEVER EVER get tattoos, as that's ok for modern real-life humans but utterly unrelated to Star Wars humans or Twileks. There's a reason no one in the trilogies has a tattoo besides Zabs and such. KEEP it that way.

Tattoos will not look "Cool" nor will they make you unique. EVERYONE will have them. Snore.

I'm all for body tats, for Zabraks. What's wrong with that? I was really disappointed to find that my male dancer/TKA Zabrak couldn't get a body tat from a master IDer. I would have paid anything they asked for. *Shrugs*

First of all, there's no reason non-Zabraks wouldn't be able to have tattoos. Just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean they don't exist in the universe.

Second of all, check out Jedi Academy. Twi'lek and Human alike have some very clear tattoos in that game.

You have no idea whether or not tattoos will look cool. Saying that they shouldn't add them because everyone will have them is like saying they should take clothing out of the game. After all, everyone wears it. How boring.

AO is a good example of a game using tattoos. There are very few tattoos and they actually replace clothing for the said slot. Nonetheless, people still wear and enjoy them.

If you give non-zabrak tattoos, then you should start giving Lekku to rodians and facial hair for zabrak and blue and purple skins for humans, etc. You know what, they should just remove all the species and just make 1 species so everyone can have it all!

Seriously though, if you want a tattoo, pick a zabrak character.

Try being a master image designer and THEN ask for this. I can't wear one of the most fun titles in the game ("Tattoo Artist") because EVERYONE asks me if I can give them a tattoo. I wish the devs WOULD add tattoos to the game, for races other than Zabrak. This is, by far, the biggest request I get as an ID.

The difference is, other races can have tattoos. Other races can't have lekku. What's specific to Zabrak are horns, not tattoos.

From the SWG website: "The species is divided into a number of different races, each exhibiting different horn patterns. Zabrak are also fond of intricate facial tattoos designed to reflect their individual personalities."

Just because you feel that your tattoos make you unique doesn't mean that other races should not be allowed to have tattoos. I'm not saying that all races should get the tattoos available to the Zabrak. On the contrary, I think ID given tattoos should be similar to the tattoos we are familiar with inthe real world.

For example, I personally don't like any of the zabrak tattoos. I wouldn't want one of them. I want different and varied body art, which I believe is what the original post was asking for.
