I know it doesn't require an education to be an image designer, but dang your spelling is worse then mine...

most of the servers have been down for a while so it is hard to tell what a average price will be. I was going to charge 2K per holo then go from there.

I don't charge, per se. I ask the customer to pay what they feel is right for the changes and time involved, and generally get about 11K per session. This morning, for example, I worked on seven customers. They paid between 1K and 30K. I made 76K total.

One fellow a rodian, I gave the full set of holo-emotes for free. He stayed in the tent so everybody could see the emotes. It was pretty cool that he was willing to model them for everybody.

Stat migration I'll prolly charge 100K. I have to sit there for 5 mins not doing anything else, and frankly we now have a captive audience for it since they've removed automatic stat migrations. Though I don't doubt that eventually, when people stop training ID due to the timer requirements, we'll prolly start seeing million credit charges for stat migrations -- and a subsequent outcry from the player base. I don't think this was well thought out.

holy cr*p. Um, good thing I recently changed my stats to how I want them to be. I certainly have no intention of ever paying anywhere close to 100k for a stat migration. That's as bad as selling AV-21's for 2 million credits a piece, lol. You may find a few people willing to pay that much, just like there are a few people willing to pay for those new speeders. But, I'm pretty sure you aren't going to have many repeat customers. Sometimes you just gotta try to strike a balance between greed and actually trying to have a little fun and try to make your customers happy.

BTW, no outcry from me. You, by all rights, can charge whatever you want to charge. But, stat migration *is* something that I can live without, and fully intend to at prices like that.

I feel i will just continue asking people what they feel like paying and not setting a charge out rate for each item.

That's actuallythe point, Drygo. I don't want repeat customers for stat migrations. They'll pay the 100K or find another ID. If I'm going to sit there for 5 mins, unable to do anything else but chat, they're gonna pay for it. For all other work, I'm fine with letting folks pay whatever they feel. At least that part of ID is interesting. Waiting for a migration timer to run out is as bad as waiting for a shuttle.

If that's how you feel, that's how you feel, I suppose. I'm a dancer, so it takes me a long time to mind buff, but I'm not gonna charge 100K for it. I *do* want repeat customers. And, I actually like the social interaction of chatting with my customers for 5-10K. For each his/her own, though. I don't begrudge you charging 100K for stat migration for whatever reason you have. To be honest, I don't question your motives as much as I question the motives of someone who is actually willing to pay that much! All they need to do is shop around and realize they can get it for 1/10th the price.

Edit: I actually paid for stat migration today. I also changed my skin tone, my lekku marking color and bought some holo emotes. By the time we finished all of that, I had gone beyond 10 minutes already, so the stat migration seemed "instantaneous" to me because we were doing things in the interim. I was able to find an image designer *very* easily who was planning on charging 10K to 20K for the whole processed. I over tipped him generously because I felt that his work was well worth it. That's an image designer I plan on giving my business to on a regular basis, and the vast majority of this business will *not* be stat migration. He's earned a loyal customer to do the "fun" stuff. If he had tried to charge me 100K for the stat migration alone, he wouldn't have gotten it, nor would he have gotten my business for the non-stat migration procedures and my future business. I would assume ID's would want repeat customers for the non-stat migration side of the business. If not, why be an Image Designer in the first place? I'm not going to go to an ID for the other stuff if I find they charge 100K for stat migration. I suspect a lot of people feel the same way.

100k for stat migrations is perfectly reasonable.

The day you pay me 100K to give you a mind buff, is the day I'll pay you 100K to migrate my stats. All the entertainer branches are arguably the least profitable of professions. But, I would never even *dream* of charging someone that much for my services. You do 10 migrations a day and expect to pull in a million? I've never even *hit* a million total and I've been playing for 6 months. Despite what some think, not everyone in this game is a millionaire, probably not even 1/4 of the people... 100K for stat migration is simply not worth it when I can buy a house, vehicle, and many articles of clothing for the same price.

I charged 2k each for the holos, 30k for the whole set of 16.

And honestly, I don't have any desire to do stats and I had 3 people ask me for it tonight. That's thirty minutes of me chatting someone up (not bad, b/c everyone was in a great mood), but otherwise doing nothing. By the second one, all I could think was "Oh god, not another one", so I charged for my time, 25k. Not outrageous for something that costs me 10 minutes when there's a line of 5 people waiting on me.
