I'm on Starsider, and I work hard for my money..I will never pay 5k to twitch my nose length slider, another 5k for chin, another 5k for eye shape, etc. etc...add up atotal makeover and you've got well over 90k for every slider available, including facial hair...Add a couple color pallete views (4k more), and maybe a new color (10k more yet), and you have a grand total of 104k...if that isnt a rip-off, I dunno what is...
In the past every ID Ive been to has been free, curtious, and very polite and genereous...Now it seems with these upcoming changes you all want to milk the credit cow and get as much out of it as possible...(in laymans terms you want to rip us off, like I said)...I'll do some /yelling and try my best to find a good ID who isnt looking to take all of my money just to change my skin tone or hair style..

We spend time and credits getting to MID, and more time helping you look your best. If you don't think that's a service worthy of recompence, don't avail yourself of it. But don't accuse us of being greedy simply because we want compensation for services rendered.
Actually, 'free' and charging prices for services are a bit mutually exclusive.
And I'm glad to see the Starsider price list finally coming out. It's something I was hoping for a very long time ago, just never had the time to go to the 'get togethers' to help. That and I'm compulsively indecesive.
This and the changes to the ID profession as a whole are getting dangerously close to getting me to come back to my ID on Starsider at least.
One thing I'd suggest possibly adding to the pricelist is a "bundle discount" for multiple changes In a Single Change [for the same reason Stat Migration gets it].

You have to realize that this is their source of income. I play on Starsider too and, honestly, credits are fairly easy to get. Combat types can run missions which easily pay 15k (double that insome cases) and only take 10 minutes at most to do. But if you'd like to have a complete makeover and money is still an issue, then try talking to your ID and make them understand that you'd like a lot of changes but can't afford to pay the 104k you've quoted. I guarantee that if you're friendly, communicative, and understanding, they'll make sure that you can afford it.
In general, people who choose the ID profession aren't slithering price gougers by nature. This pricing list is merely a guideline that was made inresponse to all of the curt non-tipping time-consuming customers out there. You know the sort--the "i don't know what i want just make me look good plzzzz" type that you spend 30 minutes on, isnever satisified, and tips you a "thx" and a /wave at the end of the session.
I think it's good that IDs are trying to settle on some sort of standardized pricing. And while people may think that it's an in-game given right to demand free ID services because "it doesn't take any resources", you're actually paying for something far more valuable--time. I'll be the first person in line at the Coronet tent on the 11th to receive a set of holoemotes along with a slightly lighter shade of brown hair, and I'll gladly pay list price plus a tip.
I'm considering something deferent (Service Packs)
Full Service ID - Includes: Full body, face and hair, plus one free Holo-emote and one free touch-up
Deluxe Service ID - Includes: Full body, face and hair, plus free allHolo-emote and stat change and one free touch-up
I have not decided the price yet, but I'll need a 5k /tip before ID to cover the Imperil Luxury tax.
Any ideas what you would charge for this?
what makes it that an image designer has to give you their stuff free but a doc can charge 10k for buffing...or a better example you will pay 10k for a dancer or musician buff...you my friend are insane...there is no way thats a rip off...first off you get stats changed much quicker than you could do it on your own...second off once you finish creating your char and start playing you can't go back and edit it without ID services...so you are definately gonna be hurtin when all of the sudden the new fashion is yellow hair and are stuck with your brown due to ignorance...
sorry for a bit of flame on the end there but i am sick and tired of people trying to say that one profession's skill set is worth 10k and another is worth 0 creds...it just sickens me...and thank you kwee i was wondering what to charge for stuff come the 11th
