ID Advertsing. Maybe Make Holoemotes Craftables. I have tons of customers who just want refills on emotes. ITs somewhat of a pain to travel all that way just for something that could be made into a craftable.
Some sort of GCW Function. Many indications of disguise kits have been brought up
okay so this is a statment made in the ID Top 5(14) but didnt want to clutter up the thread cause i have a feeling this is going to be more than just my comment. I know that there are several ID out there that say "but i dont want to craft anything" well why not make it both? I personally love the idea of a craftable holoemote box. however, i know that several of the ID are against it 100% as they dont want to have to craft anything. why cant they leave the holo system as it is for the ID session, where you can recieve the holobox' directly from the ID with a click of a button, and also implement an actual craftable "box". upon "examine" the box should say Holoemote Box: A box containing emotes in holographic form created by an image designer. Type /holoemote help to use. and once they type /holoemote help ... they recieve their holoemotes and the box goes poof.
Please please please say you agree that this would be okay .. it isnt limiting it to just a crafting item .. just extending it to a crafting itme.
what do you think?

I for one, have always liked the idea of having the option to craft SOMETHING. If the ability was granted at Novice Entertainer, it would be an especial boon to beginning IDs as they try to get through the Entertainer line... especially in view of the problem that has recently been noticed in regards to Ithorians, making them a third race that is handicaped in the route to Novice ID.

Not a bad idea. holoemotes certainly don't get enough charges.
Then I could be a Crafter! Yay! =)

I am all for That i love to craft, and when you have the option of crafting anything new you help build business for the supplier who supplies the ingrediants to craft anything so here here /cheer.... w00t to the great idea

I'm not sure I like the idea of crafting. If I wanted to craft things, I'd still be an artisan. But I'm not! I think if we were given this ability, we'd be stuck doing even more boring stuff - like stats - and we'd have less time to do our real jobs. Making people pretty should be our first priority.

if you take a moment to read the original post, i did suggest it being a multiple ability ... one, IF THE ID CHOOSES TO, they could craft the holoemote boxes for vendor/bazaar sales, or two, IF THE ID DOES NOT WANT TO CRAFT, the holoemotes would remain an option in the ID window. using both the ablity to give holoemotes through ID sessions AND through crafting means, would allow the ID to decide whether or not to use holoemote boxes as an imaging service, or a crafted sales service.

What makes this proposal problematic is that if a holoemote box is "better" than an ID-applied holoemote, people will only want what is better. If it is worse, they will still want it because they can buy it from a vendor without interacting with a person, and apply it at-will without visiting a person, and buy multiple boxes to apply whenever they feel like it. With the convenience of the crafted item, they would never visit an ID for holoemotes and essentially the crafted holoboxes would be the "only" way to give holoemotes.

touchy much? i wasnt "attacking you" about anything hun. i was merely stating that the original post suggested that the ID be given the option to craft holobox' as well as use them as an imaging tool. your post suggested that you had not read that part of the original post, and i was merely trying to clarify that for you. i was not attacking you in any way, and if you feel i was, im sorry.

as for the "problematic" part of one being better than the other, i dont think that would need to be an issue. you could only craft the ones you are able to give ... and as for ppl buying them rather than getting them ID'd, probably. however, if i was already getting an ID alteration, why would i go out of my way to buy a crafted holobox rather than just buy one off the ID who is giving the alteration.
this is merely a concept to give ID something to craft IF THEY SO CHOOSE.
