Lets face it. You sit in that stupid tent, listening to that soft music, wondering when the next victim client will come in. What do you do with your down time? Well, if I'm not helping someone level, I write spam. It is unwelcoming to hear "Need a Stat Migration or new hair, come into the tent. Image Designer standing by"
So I came up with these:
- Training for the Olympics? Feeling a little inadequate about your size? Are the Huurtons giving you a hurtin'? Come see the Image Designers at teh Salon. You're life is only and ID and Stat Migration away from perfection
- Is your Ex stalking you? Is there a bounty on your head? Do you owe someone some credits? Then come see the Image designers at the Salon! With a new ID and Stats, all of your troubles will disappear!
- Are you tired of being rated second best or lurking in your siblings shadows? Been kicked out of a beauty contest because mirrors broke as you walked by? We can make you the person or creature you've always wanted to be.
- Need a little Botox? Maybe a snip here or a tuck there? Too fat, too skinny? Too tall, too short? No problem! We can make you the beautiful again!
These are just a few that I have come up with. My thoughts are, we are the creative ones in the game, why should our spam be any less?
Give us your best SPAM or you can take these. ![]()

I am opposed to shouted advertising of all kinds, I don't do it. So my best spam would be:
*sound of crickets chirping*

Yeah, not to rain on your parade, but I dislike spam no matter what profession is doing it. Having my "Master" tag on usually attracts customers of its own accord, but if I must draw people in, I simply place a droid titled "MasterImageDesignerOnDuty" near the starport (no, not a merchant barker droid, either... a simple fog effect MSE).
Still, those were clever... one time a customer started yelling, "Wow, you Siela, have made me beautiful! Thank you Siela!". I asked her why, and she said to attract business for me. I suppose that's the closest to spamming I ever did, because I responded by yelling, "Yes, Master IDs are miracle workers".

The closest I have ever come to spamming for customers was an appropriately named droid patroling in a spot where it was likely to be seen... and I only did that while working on Dancer or Musician. As an ID, I have never felt any need to advertise. All I have ever had to do was to put my title up and the customers came out of the wood-work... and most told me that they had been looking for an ID for a long time.

Same thing here. I've never had to spam to get business. I HATE spam!

Wow! I didn't expect this type of response! Honestly, I don't mind spamming because a lot of the times people are so used to the tent being empty, they don't realize that there are people there who are actually ID'ing rather than grinding. Spamming is not something that I do regularly; only when it's slow. Plus, with the method I use, it entertains people more then anything.

I never spammed.. I find if you have to you will be seen if you simply run around with your ID tag up. I get allot of id questions when I'm waiting for the interstarport transpos juststand in some flashy clothes and off to the side of the ticket collector so you look out of place and the player will click on you if you really wanna stand out use them holoemote the dev's gave you. This has two bonuses.. People tend to rememeber you.. and you can usually get a big Astromech tip if you delay you trip and run to give them some ID work or a stat if you have to run back tot he tent.

I've done advertisements in Bestine when I come to the tent and find it empty. I don't know that it would be considered spam as I do it once or twice on arrival to let people know there's an ID available. Sort of a public service announcement
If done only a couple of times an hour and switched up,I think people would find your ads amusing Madam, not annoying
I really like Maisland's droid idea too

Yes,I will generally give a shout that a master is available asI enter the tent and mention it on the auction chat if it gets slow. I also have a pet Rasp thatI will let linger outside the tent to let others see someone is around.

I didn't mean to sound insulting, Madam. I'm sure none of us here assumed you're the type to /shout "MASTER ID ON DUTY" every 3 seconds. In my case, I've just never had too many problems getting customers.. as most people have said, the Master tag alone draws people, so I've never had to speak to get business. Although Kwee has a point.. the Bestine tent is sort of away from any traffic, which may explain why business slows down there...

Well it wasn't my fault, really.
A master DE and Merchant set a barker droid to /follow me, advertising my services once. Kind of embarrassing.
