Thread: Lets talk about something else
Lately all we talk about is the species bug, holocron hunters, and the command to accept ID changes. So lets talk about something else shall we.
Why did you decide to take Image Designer?
Me. I took it because my PA didnt have one yet and I was Order Assistant of our Recon Order at the time and thought how cool it would be to make up all these fake identities, from a roleplaying perspective to form a Covert Ops team with "disguises" .
If Image Designers were able to craft items what would be your top 10 requests.
Since dancers and musicians get cantinas and docotrs get hospitals...What do you think we should get? A Theatre? A Barber Shop. Maybe someway they can make our profession more useful. Gives us some perks besides style although I do love being the most stylish Bothan 8)
If you must know, I initially took it so I could change my skin tone to match whatever infilt suit I was wearing so I could look naked, LOL. But then they went and changed the skinsuit. However, by that time I had already fallen in love with ID. I LOVE being able to change my look on a whim. If my character doesn't look good in green.... I change her till she does! If she's a little too chunky to wear some of the more revealing stuff... give her a quick lipo! I love it.
I did it because I went into business with a tailor, and we wanted to have a full-body spa sort of thing. Now I just absolutely love it. ![]()
Yep now answer my other questions ![]()
(Shall we have a Bothan Style competion?)
LOL, I totally did not see your other question.
I would enjoy seeing craftable items for image designers, even though I HATE crafting. It would add something tangible that we could create, and would be easy and fun. For example, making disposable lipsticks and eyeshadows that everyone could use (maybe the lipstick could take 10 petrochemical and 10 berry fruit, etc.) or maybe we could even craft "wigs" - hairstyles that we can craft and sell so that when someone wants a new hairstyle, they don't have to hunt down an image designer, and if they like two or three equally they can buy a wig of each and change it on a whim. I think it would be enormous fun to have craftable shops for ID as well. When and if we ever get the chance to give body tattoos, I'd love to run a tattoo parlor. Maybe when you step in, you would get a popup window saying "what do you want to have done today?" and you could select everything you wanted to have changed that day and pay the fee set by the image designer who owns the structure.
I think Master IDs should be able to place cantinas. Why exclude us from the rest of the entertainers?
As for craftables, I would enjoy seeing lipstick and eyeshadow craftables. But not wigs or anything... I don't want my services to suddenly no longer be required.

I think it's a little silly to assume that if people can buy hairstyles they keep in their inventory, like an article of clothing, that you would be out of a job. There's still a whole world of things people will want done to their character. Personally, I'd be thrilled to not have to change someone's hair every single day on a whim of theirs.
It's a moot point though, this will never ever happen. They're too busy making sure nothing in the game can ever possibly look naked. *sigh*
I did it just because I can quickly
It would be cool to see items such as mirrors or makeup which could make people either feel better or worse about themselves and either act like spice (with no downer) or just be a downer (random chance based on item quality)...
And, I would just like to thank whoever one-starred me throughout this thread. Get a fricking hobby, I'm trying to contribute to a constructive thread here. Grow up, for God's sake.
Back to topic - for those who haven't read the thread about the idea for wax figures, you should. It's a fascinating idea and one I would LOVE to see implemented.
