I believe that is the idea, you can do only one quest per phase. This serves to gate the path to jedi and keep the population down and fair.

Do you or anyone else happen to know if this has been clearly stated anywhere by the devs?

You can do three quests per phase, if you have the required skills. The first phase is a doctor, combat and crafting quest.... Do a search, because someone made a detailed guide which has a lot of great information. I would quote it, but then you would never learn how to use the search feature

No, but you can try to do it in game. You will be told by the NPC's "Oh, you have something going on for you right now, maybe when your hands are less full you can come back"
One Quest / Branch unlock per Phase. If indeed the three weeks cycle holds true thats 18 weeks per Initiate, or four and a half month. Plus of course so much exp grinding that the hologrinders must be pissing themself with laughter for unlocking.

But the other village NPCs still say that I cannot do quests for them since I have another assigment. Can anybody confirm if you can only take one quest each phase? Or is there something left for me to do still in the medic quest?
One quest per phase is all you can take. This is indeed intended.

Your statement seems to conflict with what the others are saying. I am doctor and fencer. So according to you I should be able to do both the medic and the combat quest. I will be very happy if you could back up your statement with a quote or link.
P.S. Honestly, I am used to searching on the net and I know when something is simply too generic to be searched for with any luck. ![]()

Right.. and then this thread was just moved from the Game Guides forumto the Jedi forum. I was just trying to be kind to all those Jedi who moan about non-Jedi posting in their forum.
I guess this means that the moderators do feel that every Village related question belongs in the Jedi forum.

At first, I didn't mind the whole 1 quest per phase thing. Even if there's a 3-week wait between quests, it's all fine.
However, I see no reason why we can't choose which branch out of the FS professions we want. My reasoning for that is this:
In Phase III of the Village, there are THREE branches of different FS Professions I want, while in Phase I, there's only ONE. That means if I wish to train in those 3 branches, I must wait for that phase to come around 3 times. Starting from this Phase one, that's effectively THIRTY-THREE (Excuse the poor math skills if I'm wrong
) weeks of waiting, just to get the skills I wanted. On the other hand, if I could choose, I'd be able to get skills I need one at a time. This is looking more and more like a "scheme" to force us into being patient while they drain us of our $15 each month
. Since I really don't think the 33-week wait is worth it, I'm going to be forced into getting skill trees I don't want/have no use for.

If we could unlock 2 branches per phase I wouldn't complain about the 3 week cycle. However since we can only do one quest per phase they need to lower the time per phase. I think they should make it a week per phase cycle.
Then instead ofunlocking useless skills (for those of us who want to be jedi as fast as possible) we can actually take the ones we want.
