Top ten reasons why bluetooth microsoft keyboard can stop responding:
10.) Batteries finally ran out of power and need to be changed. nope i stole the fire alarm batteries so its not that
9.) Batteries are fine but signal is being jambed by E.M.P. my roomate has been tinkering a lot in his room
8.) Forgot to turn power switch on keyboard to on position. no switch, roomate took it for some reason
7.) Forgot to turn computer on. i tried barry manilow and luther vandross
6.) Got confused with what statement in number 7 really meant, realise hours later that gently blowing in computers air vents does nothingmore thanmake you dizzy and computer seems to be more "turned off" then ever. doh
5.) Wireless keyboards have been secretly nerfed by soe in an effort to try and make game play as difficult as possible, with end result hopefully being exp. grinds to near halt. Thereby if nerf works saving them millions since there would be no need to add new content to keep players busy. i thought that .tre file named "disable_keyboard" was odd
4.) No idea why kb not working did you try using a bigger hammer? i broke it trying to repair it
3.) Ingame control options allowing the use of kb have been remapped. my corded kb works? this must be some devious plot to confuse me
2.) Kb actually works fine but brain damage from striking you head, after having fallen asleep, while playing swg, caused you to no longer to be able to recognise what a kb even is, much less if it works. i did doze off a couple times waiting for bria to load
1.) AND number one reason why bluetooth keyboard probably not working: IT was made by MICROSOFT! its all starting to make sense now!

Was wondering if anyone's had success with any joysticks or mouse alternatives in SWG. I'd love to just lean back with a nice gamepad and play in comfort (assuming it could offer enough buttons for combat moves, and mouse simulation for UI interaction)....? Anyone want to share their set-ups?
Theres keypads and things of that nature thatyou can use. There's one inparticular that's especially made for replacing the mouse in games but I can't recall the name of it off hand.
For joysticks/gamepads.....there just simply isn't any that can support all the things in SWG. The best you could get with these is control your movement and maybe a few mapped buttons that you could assign macro's to. You would have to use the keyboard for the toolbar and everything else though.
I actually use a PS2 controller with all of my other games and It can support 31 buttons that I can program anything to (with a shift command mapped to a button) and the 2 digital analog sticks can emulate mouse movement perfectly.....only problem is the analog sticks on the PS2 controllers are extremely senistive and their threshold can't be easily adjusted without some 3rd party program. The one I use is called joy2key (it allows me to totally modify my whole controller). I haven't tried to use it with SWG though.....I definitely will with JTL.
Keep in mind there are gamepads that emulate the PS2 controller that are specifically made for pc's and some with more buttons....but for my own personal taste, there has yet to be a gamepad for a pc that feels as good as the PS2 controller with as much precision.
other than this, I have no other clue to what you can use.

LOL!
hehe - i rarely actually "LOL" at much ...
My only thought: Have you or room mate (or anyone in range) installed any other bluetooth dongles/devices?
Edit: Oh .. I have logitech desktop deluxe and MX700 mouse - all RF - work like a dream despite dropping various drinks on keyboard and having to dismantle it. would recomend mouse to anyone, has enough buttons on it so I can have autorun, overhead map, inventory, mouse mode swap and cycle target along with the norm
Have my joystick all ready for JTL!
