I have been an entertainer for about 4 days now and it seems nobody tips. Now I have to get a second job. Remember that entertainers canheal you so please tip thatdancer if she helps you. Poor thing is dancing her or his heart out.

I stopped going into the cantinas (unless I was healing myself, when I still had Novice Entertainer)because of all the tip-whiners I saw early on. Imagine that, this thread isn't exactly urging me to go back to them. Have a day.

Tip whiners? I can understand why they "whine." If you look at dancing as a service (healing you) then why not tip them? It would be nicer if you had to pay them a little bit of money before you could watch them, like paying doctors before they could heal you. It would guarentee that people doing us a service wouldn't get ripped off.

I agree entertainers have been a great help to me on a regular basis. I'm make it a point to always tip at least 50 creds, but usualy more. These are people that have to work hard to get their characters anywhere, I know I've tried an entertainer. The proffesion is a pain in the butt to play and you can't exactly go out and do destroy missions to get credits. Give them a break people and tip your performers.

I find that I tip allot more credits, and alot more often if the entertainer talks to me, and actually entertains me and not just my character. Perhaps you can try this and tips may come rolling in faster. And I also find it more enjoyable for both of us. =)

They wanna help other people, fine.. let them. I take care of my own wounds.. and even if I didn't, the LAST hands to get filled by my tip money (and I don't have a problem with tipping if I did need someone else's help, just the constanttip-whiners)would be the ones so frequently shoved in my face.. if they got filled at all.

I tip all the time.
Up to now exactly one entertainer showed any appreciation.
Most times I am completely ignored when trying to communicate with them (when they rest).
Entertainers are the most rude unfriendly folks I met up to this day.

Seeing as how everyone is whining about how much money they have, you'd think people would be more apt to tip the entertainers.

Especially when you consider the amounts they ask for are absolutely frivolous compared to the amount of money some professions make *cough* ARTISAN! *cough*

I always tip whoever I watch/listen to, but I have a problem with people who have scripts making them dance all day, when they aren't even near the keyboard.

Well I always tip 50-200 credits depending on how friendly the Entertainer was, how good they were, how welcome they made me feel andhow many wounds I had. If they're AFK, they get nothing. The people who really make an effort always get a nice tip. I think the moaners who say they never get tipped areprobablymostlythe bad performers in drab clothes who never look up from their instruments to see the audience....

If you can spend 30-60K on a weapon would it really hurt you to spend 200 on an entertainer? ONLY they can cure your BF and you wouldnt be very good with 250 in your BF now would you? I kinda wish SOE would put in an auto tip feature where you could not even watch or listen to an entertainer unless you pre-paid, like they have on houses before you can enter.

I never fail to tip, I dont care if I just get 6BF cured... I tip at least 100 credits.

Kind of related question.....

When I go into a Cantina, I can only /watch or /listen to one person. Last night I found out that the only person I could listen to was the group leader of all the performers. I tried all the others while I was there, but couldn't watch or listen to any of them. Even before I successfully listened to the band leader.

Is this normal? I tend to only tip those I actively listen to, and I'm sure many others probably do too. This kinda makes it unfair to the other Entertainers in the Cantina.
