Each week, Q-3PO started a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. Tuesday Tips will continue on with that tradition so be sure to join in and add your helpful tip.
Do you have a little known command you use all the time?
A cool place to visit?
A trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game?
Share it here.
Cross Game Email!
You can send in-game email messages to your friends on other servers, or to those who play EverQuest or Everquest 2.
- To send mail to someone an EQ2 server, enter the name as eq2.servername.charactername
- To send mail to a friend playing EQ, enter the name as eq.servername.charactername
Your friends who play in EQ or EQ2 can send you mail too!
- To send mail to a friend in SWG, they should enterthe name as swg.servername.charactername
Do you have a useful tip that you want to share with your fellow Star Wars Galaxies players? E-mail it toSWGTips and if we select the tip we'll post it as the Tuesday Tip and give you the credit! Send us the character name and server you'd like us to include if we post the tip.

In EQ2 you can ship items through the mail system. Any chance we could see that in SWG?

Nice. It's good to see players can keep in touch across SOE's major MMO's.

If somebody has a really hard name to type in and you like talking to them but its a pain to type (example) /t Jon'Smith'Da'm'a'n' (messege);
Then you can set up an alias to talk to him like this...
/alias jon /t Jon'Smith'Da'm'a'n' <-----(without a semi colon after it)
Now all you will have to do is type /jon (messege)and it will /t Jon'Smith'Da'm'a'n' (messege)
Please note that if you put a semi-colon at the end of the alias it will not work! It will end the command and say you need to send a messege....

awesome tip, especially in relation to today's offical tip (well, sorta, as it refers to cross-server /tells rather than the e-mails TH mentions). This is what I use to talk to friends on test center or guildies with EQ2 alts

Ive gotten a few cross-galaxy chatrooms working...they're a bit funky, and at least one side are a at a bit disadvantage concerning how to chat in it (I believe the side that creates the room...I have yet)
They're not really worth the time/effort used to make them however. But, I use cross-galaxy tells all the time as I have some great friends on Valcyn
Awesome Tip too, as quite a few folks out there never knew they could do this!

Do you mean StationAccess? I've got it and SWG/EQ/EQ2/Planetside all work fine for me. The cost savings are the only things that allow me to keep all my accounts.

Since most of my guildmates have left for World of Warcraft, is there a way to communicate with them?
