Death Watch Bunker - The Complete Guide
Preparations:
You need to prepare yourself and your team. Select a team that is willing to work towards the end goal of the bunker – crafting an item. Make sure the team understands that it will take time, work and dedication to conquer this dungeon. Many hours can be spent within the bunker.
Let’s start with the professions your team should be based on. Despite what many people think, this dungeon does NOT require more thanone 8 person group, though it is best accomplished with two groups of 8. Even a single group of less than 8 (as little as 3 or 4)- ifextremely well organized and willing to go slowly - can complete the DWB by using the ability to paralyze / mezmerize mobs to enable the group to focus on one at a time.
Core Group:
Squad Leader(s): A Master Squad Leader, with the new buffs from Publish 24, is extremely helpful (almost necessary). Stacking more than one Squad Leader works even better, but try to have at least one per group. Remember - Squad Leaders no longer have to the the group leader to extend their services!
Medic(s): A Master Combat Medic with area heals and/or Master Doctors with buffsare essential for the success of the group. These folks will handlethe inevitable need to /revive as well as healand provide general medical attention and buffs. If taking more than one group, divide your medical staff evenly between the teams.
Professions required for the crafting of a jetpack/mandalorian armor part:
Master Droid Engineer: The MDE is requiredto the door to the Droid Engineer’s Crafting Room. MDE is also required to craft the following Mandalorian armor parts: Helmet and Bracers.
Master Armorsmith: The MAS is requiredopen the door to the Armorsmith’s Crafting Room. MAS is also required to craft the following Mandalorian armor parts: Chestplate, Biceps and Boots.
Master Tailor: The MT is required to open the door to the Tailors Crafting Room. MT is also required to craft the following Mandalorian armor parts: Leggings, Gloves and Belt.
Master Artisan: The Master Artisan is required for the crafting of the Jetpack as well as an Artisan with Engineering II for crafting of the Enhanced Rebreather Filter.
What to bring:
Armor: Recon is the best bet, as 90%+ of the damage dealt is Energy. PSGs are a great idea if you aren't using a modded belt.
Foods: Mandalorian Wine, Breath of Heaven, Bofa Treats and especially Blob Candy for the Action boost in the mines.
Spices: Neutron Pixie can be very handy for emergencies.
Stimpacks: Everyone should bring a fair amount of these.
Items needed for crafting:
In the actual crafting process, these items are needed:
Jetpack: Jetpack Base, Ducted Fan, Fuel Dispersal Unit, Injector Tank, Jetpack Stabilizer and Alum Minerals (6 items)
Mandalorian Armor: Binary Liquid, Protective Liquid Coating, Alum Minerals and a part of looted (not crafted!) Bounty Hunter Armor (For helmet crafting, you bring a helmet, etc.) (4 items)
Furthermore, if you plan on crafting a Jetpack, you need to gain access to the Droid Engineer’s Crafting Room. Even though you use a Master Artisan to craft the Jetpack, you need to bring along a Master Droid Engineer to unlock the door to the crafting room.
The MDE must to have 2 items in their inventory before they can unlock the door: Alum Minerals, Bounty Hunter Helmet or Bracer. Without the Alum and either the helmet or bracer (left or right is fine for the bracer), the door cannot be opened. The Master Armorsmith or Master Tailors must also have one of the looted BH Armor pieces in their inventory to open those doors.
First and Foremost - THE RULES:
- You must be willing to stay with the group and play your specific role! The reality is, a successful expedition can take up to 2 hours, and be somewhat boring and slow much of the time. Thereward is the accomplishment of being successful, not in going out in a blaze of glory.
- If you are a multi-factioned team, Come on Leave!!! This allows the medics to heal & revive everyone.
- Never enter rooms without a direct order from the leader/guide.
- Never trip alarms or loot crates without a direct order from the leader/guide. NOTE: Looting NPCscan be allowed - see below.
- No area attacks. Period.
- Job one is always to protect the Combat Medic / Doc. If the crafter dies, he/she can be revived. If the medics die, you're screwed.
- Job two is protect the crafter.
- The team should move from one room to the very next room only, and never do so before recieving a direct order from the leader/guide.
- Tankswill enter new rooms first to engage. Remaining group will then enter to help heal & deal damage.
- Always CLONE at the Smuggler's Outpost and INSURE your items. Death should be expected in the bunker!
Before you start, you have to make sure that everyone in the group knows their job.
Medics: This job is very demanding, as you need to make sure that everyone stays alive. Stay close to the group, andavoid attacking anything - you’re not doing the fighting, but making sure the group can. Paralyzing mobs that are not the current group target is very effective as well. NOTE: Be wary of throwing area heals, as the 'hate' system will make you a primary target!
Ranged / Melee: Stick to the group.Try not togo more than 10m away from the leader, unless you are specifically told to. Follow the group leaders directions regarding which mob to focus on, and be extremely careful not to attack other mobs that may be paralyzed, stasised ormezmerized, as you will break that state and allow the mobs to engage again.
This is about Teamwork. If anyone goes rogue, it may very well kill the entire group. You will need to coordinate a group of 5-24 people and you need to react fast if/when something happens.Pay attention to the leader, as they should assign targets. NOTE: It is very helpful for all group members to /target the leader and attack through him/her - this ensure everyone focuses on the same target.

- Jetpack Stabilizer: Death Watch Overlord ONLY! – 100% dropchance.
- Ducted Fan: Random loot in the DWB.
- Fuel Dispersal Unit:Random loot in the DWB.
- Injector Tank: Random loot in the DWB.
- Jetpack Base: Randomly spawned Black Suns - loot. ONLY OUTSIDE the Bunker!
- Alum Minerals: Quest reward from The Foreman’s Quest.
- Binary Liquid: Random loot in the DWB and Black Suns outside of the DWB!
- Protective Liquid Coating: Random loot in the DWB and Black Suns outside of the DWB!
- Rebreather:Random loot in the DWB and Geonesian bunker.
- Alum Gel Pack: Random loot in the DWB
- Bounty Hunter Armor: Randomly spawned Black Suns - loot. ONLY OUTSIDE the Bunker!
NOTE: Pre-CU BH Armor was all converted to "crafted". However, you can select each piece and use the radial menu to "disassemble" the armor. This will convert the armor to the "loot" version, and make it a viable component for Mandalorian armor or serve as the Bracer or Helm necessary to be in the inventory of your MDE to gain entry to the jetpack forge room. Be aware that you cannot wear the loot version! Though the converted "crafted" versions have crappy stats, it is at least fun for "costume" purposes. Best bet is to NOT convert your armor until you are literally leaving on a Mandalorian Armor crafting expedition.

Sweet! I added a bit at the intro to make note of this. Nicely done!

Just wanted to let you know that you should include that people with the ablilty to mezz and paralize are the most important next to jedi. We completed the DWB with 3 people today,1 jedi and MCM. We never had more than 2 aggro, except for one room where we got swarmed a bit. But the ability to keep mobs from attacking while focusing on the others is key. We did not craft anything, but were able to get some of the foreman's quest done.

Is it true that the current drop rate for PLC is less than 1%?
Actually - we made another jetpack last night... and we take enormous teams simply because so many folks want to go. We had three full groups of 8... so the extra time it takes to get three groups organized, loot three sets of keys, etc., means we are generally down there killing stuff for 2+ hours at a time. All that killing and looting, and not ONE component or decent loot item... period. I know we killed over 100 NPCs, so I have to assume the drop rates for all loot are in the toilet.
It's going to put a real damper on making armor and jetpacks when there are no components to make them with. ![]()
Nicely ripped Ejai.
Might want to revise the bit about medics tho. CMs of course can res now and Stimpacks don't exist anymore.
Free /wookieehugs for whoever makes POST-CU movies though...
