Each week, I start a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. The idea is that I will post a tip from either myself or one submitted from someone in our community. Once I have posted a tip, then you should post your own tips to be shared with other players.

Do you have a little known command you use all the time? A cool place to visit? A trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game?

Share it here.

To get things started, Trozun, the Mayor of Serenity City (Naboo) on Farstar brings us this tip on how to keep track of resources once they shift:

Keep Track Of Those Resources

"It's easy to keep track of which resources are new and which ones are soon to disappear ! Simply open your surveying device each day or two and take screen shots of all the resource types you might be interested in. When you need to move your harvesters, compare the current resources with your screen shots and its easy to see which ones are new and likely to be around a while and which ones are soon to disappear."

Do you have a useful tip that you want to share with your fellow Star Wars Galaxies players?

E-mail it to [email protected] and if we select the tip we'll post it as the Tuesday Tip and give you the credit! Send us the character name and server you'd like us to include if we post the tip.

Check out last week's tips

I'm still in love with the /target command. It's been presented as a tip a lot, but I figure I'd remind those who may not know about it.

/target (name) and it'll target people, creatures, pets, even buildings!

Go to coronet and type /target starport, or /target corellia and see what happens

How about this one:

Don't use FD in PvP when the next publish goes through.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

NB: Any comments I make on TC code can and often do change
before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
comments with that in mind.

Same tip, but without the need to leave the game....

Use an Interplanetary Survey Droid to survey a planet for available resoucres. The ISD will send back an Email that lists all resources of the chosen type and can even be completed even after your character is logged out. If you send off an Interplanetary Survey Droid to each planet, for a chosen resource type, you will be able to make a full listing of what is where, and when.

Same here, its extremely useful for locating NPCS like BH missions, and certain types of creatures or players in a group.

Besides...I wonder why strategetic bases were removed, and if they're expected to make a comeback......hmmm

-I support a Galactic Civil War fought between regular, average players... Simply strict, hardlined Imperials & freedom lovin' Rebels fighting for control of the galaxy. A Galactic Civil War fought not with glowsticks or lightsabers, but with blasters, lances, and how much guts you have. A Galactic Civil War which reflects the timeline, the destruction of the Death Star, the absolute control which the Empire has and the brave Rebels trying to break up that reign... The extinction of all but a few rare and special Jedi. That my friends, is the Galactic Civil War and that is what we have to aim for.

Or you could remember what you are harvesting or use swgcraft.com .

Okay now for the tip...

/notepad or /no is one of the greatest ways to easily copy and paste things in game(like shop names with colors and multiple lines)

/ui action clearCombatQueue

COLORED NUMBERS

Go to control+O and then chat.

Add each number 0-9 and color them what ever color is best for you. Mines yellow.

So now whenany number comes up on the screen, its really easy to see what it is.

They stand out from the rest of the text.

When people give you waypoints, Tips, damage taken or given in the combat box, and many more things I cant think of right now.

This game has no longer became fun for me. I do not see it ever getting better. Goodbye Tempest and Eclipse. Salute SiN Guild.
