Thread: PSG's and disappearing lightsaber resists?

Okay, after an hour of searching for PSG threads I haven't found any answering my question, which I hear is a "well-known" bug, so I'm just making my own post. I recently bought a crate of psg's that claimed to have lightsaber resist 44% on the vendor, but once in my inventory and unpacked they say they have no lightsaber resist. My question is do they, in fact, resist lightsaber damage as was claimed on the vendor, or not? I haven't even gotten the things to work at all yet, as I just learned about the crossing server borders bug about 30 min ago. Thank you for your input.

Lightsaber resist does not work, you lose the resist on a psg when you shuttle somewhere.

Lightsaber resist does work, and does not drop when you shuttle or cross a server boundary. The crate may not even show LS resists, but they will show when you pop the PSG out of the crate. When you log off, the PSG that's out of the crate will lose it's LS resist, and the ones in the crate will keep it. Take them out one at a time. I use PSGs on every Jedi hunt and with synthsteak it takes a LS master with a good saber quite a while to cut me down.

Also, the combat spam will show the PSG saving damage, and you can even compare the hit/save to the floaty numbers over your head if you'd like. They work.

They're not SUPPOSED to have resists, however they can be made and will functionuntil server reset/logoff outside of the factory crate. Technically, using one knowingly is an exploit.

Actually, way back before publish 9, TH said the only things with LS resists would be PSGs. I've heard nothing to the contrary since, so I assume using a PSG with LS resists to be legit. I will not, however, use bugged Tantel with LS resists until a Dev says it's intended. But my assumption is that it is intended for PSGs.

What's happening to me though is the opposite of what you described... it shows a resist on vendor and once purchased (in crate or out of crate) it shows lightsaber resist of 0%. So what you're saying is despite not showing up, these things will have lightsaber resist from the time I take them out of the crate to the time I cross a server border (shuttle out, etc)?

Hmmm...that clears that up then and I stand corrected. I had asked an ingame CSR (first mistake probably) and several responses here indicated that the resist itself was a bug, not that it disappeared.

Ah well. I was looking forthe thread where it was stated that the resist itself was a bug, I coulda sworn there was one that I read not that long ago...

This has been my experience too. PSGs have saved my arse quite a few times recently when I'm being mauled with a Lightsaber.
They definitely reduce LS damage.
