I was wondering if I make a macro in the game. Can I offer it for sale? Or is this against the rules? I

I am sure it would be fine to put it on the bazaar but would not recomend putting it on ebay or selling if for real cash. We players do not own any thing in MMO's we are not normally entitled to sell any of it as a result. I am not a GM or DEV or other official person but have been playing MMO's for over 4 years now and that has always been the case.This is post is just in-case someone with more knowledge doesn't see this topic for a while.

Credits or real cash? Credits, you can sell anything you want.

if your using the in-game macro system, i think you could sell the macro in-game for credits, but I don't know about REAL money outside the game. My guess would be yes, since sony can't realy own the macro YOU wrote that literaly resides on YOUR computer (macro's are stored in a local file I do believe).

macros are usually just not sold, in my experience
any user can go to google and find most any macro they want with little to no effort
not bashing, just saying

an unusual idea, you might not find any buyers for it if its a well known, or little used macro, but yes, it is ok to sell it ingame.

I was not thinking about selling it on ebay or anything. I was thinking IN GAME. I know i cant sell it at the bazzar (at least I think i cant) but i was just going to do some shouts around town an sell it via email for tips or bank transfer. Thanks for the responses, if I could get a response from someone offical that would be great so I would know if its against the rules. Thanks

not neccessarily. I'm sure there are some really bright ppl out there who written macros that no one else could come up with.

Well i agree that many macros can be had at the forums and I have not looked at them all. But I have also seen many at other sites that were never placed on the forums here.and the only thing i found on google was pertaining to cheat sites you have to join. I'm not looking to sell some super duper macro. Fact is I have one that is no real big deal. Anyone with a little thinking can make it. It's not a cheat or anything using 3rd party software. It was fully written IG.
Here is why i ask this question. I was with a friend yesterday in town an we were talking but getting blasted with shouts an yells from everyone in town selling things. Before we grouped to not see anymore chat. I yelled out MACRO FOR SALE FOR XYZ PROFESSION 3K SEND A TELL. I kid you not. With in 3 mintues time i had 10 tells and I could not keep up with whom I was talking to. But I asked them all to place me in there friends list as I was not sure if this is permited in the game cause some of them said they thought it was not but they were willing to do it anyway. Thats all. So yes the market is there for noobs an long time players alike. If you dont beleve me make a good one and do a shout IG an see what happens. One person just did not want to leave with out the darn things an offered me 20k for it. I'm not joking.

Who would pay fora macrothey could do themselves with a little bit of work, or find on any of the profession forums? Unless it's a macro that allows you to play the game without EVER being at the keyboard (other than entertainer, lol)
