what are the caps for speed, accuracy, dodge and things like that... for fencer and swordsman?

Melee defense, ranged defense, dodge, counterattack and block all have a 125 cap from skills (SEAs, food, and squad leader bonuses all stack on top of that, though). No other mod has a "hard cap".


Speed has a sort-of cap, because you can attack at most once per second. So with the weapon-specific speed mods and skill tapes, at some point any weapon you pick up will likely hit that speed.

To add on to the second part about speed, you don't need any higher than 100 speed, once you have 100 speed with your weapon you will attack at 1 second with any special and any speed gun.

ok i know Counterattack caps at +125.

Master Swordsman is +110.


I just bought a +15 AA which brings me up to 125, now is that all i can get or can i use +25 in player mods (tapes)ontop of the professional mods (skills learned). cuz i have a +8 bando that i can wear to give me +23 Attachment mods, but is the +8 just going to waste...because it would make me +133 with skills/tapes combined.

You can use the bando: +15 +8 = 23 <25

Your new Counterattack skill will be +133 (+110 +23)

After that you can buy one more +2 Counterattack SEA and you can getCarabineer 0010 box and you are capped (even more than capped).

Your Counterattack skill will be 130+25 = 155 but only 150 will be used by game engine.

Ughh, you're so lucky

All professions speed cap at +100 but thats really only for any speed of weapon. Swordsman caps at 95 speed if using a 6.1 speed Acklay Hammer (6.1 is the regular acklay speed on bloodfin).


Accuracy never caps. but the most you can have in player mods (tapes) is +25 ontop of Master Swords (and Master Brawler if you have it,and FS Melee Accuracy)

does anyone know where i can go to read about mod caps from be clothing and ca's?

i know that we are capped at +25 on be clothing, but are ca's counted seperately? i mean if i have +25 melee defense from be clothing is it throwing money away to buy melee defense ca's?

thanks mate.

so if i'm wearing clothes that already have +32 ranged, +32 melee, and +16 terrain negotiation, the only tapes i should be really looking for are double bladed ls speed/accuracy/block, general melee speed and accuracy, and force regen/max.

now i'm wondering how general melee speed and ls specific speed stack?
i mean do they have a speed cap at like 1.0? and if so, would it be necessary to have +25 ls speed, and +25 general melee speed or would speed cap before that?

wish this info was in the faq under the tapes section.

The hard cap on mods is +25, doesn't matter where it comes from, be it BE-cloths, skill tapes or a magical monkey paw.
