Thread: Idiots guide to Old Man Flagging for grinders and glowies...

Alright, this is my first post on the topic as I've spent the night reading up both in and out of game. For those still grappling with the ideas, here's the short of it...
There are two ways to be 'old man flagged'...
Method 1:
Have completed at least 4 holo professions BEFORE PUBLISH 10. These are the 'holocron' ones pre-publish 10. Doesn't matter here if you have done 4 holos and nothing else, or 32 professions, it's the same.
BUT
Once 'flagged' by this method, you will be put into one of four groups... You will be placed in a group depending on the TOTAL NUMBER of holo professions completed. Ie. Those who completed 30ish will likely be in group 1, with those completing just the 4 minimum in group 4. Group 1 gets to go through first, then 2 etc. The exact times will depend on the load trying to get through.
Method 2:
Get glowy. There is already a good guide on this in the test forums, but basically getting glowie will mean you get an 'instant access' pass to the old man - basically when he starts appearing you will be high on the list, none of the group stuff that grinders have.

All in all sounds very fair to me. Those who didn't hologrind can get straight in through the 'badge' method. Those who carefully picked just the 4 get in too, but a little later, and those lunatics who ground away till their fingers were 2cm shorter get in straight away...
The old man will begin visits in the next 3 days so we'll see if this holds true...
Me personally? I've got a faint sense of the force and I did all 4 holo's and a few other 'fun' professions. I'll probably churn out a couple more badges to get in earlier but if not, I should be in in a few weeks anyways...

Heh we will see we will see. This makes sense though. Wonder why TH can't make ONE clear post on how this things gonna happen. Would have helped ALOT. And all this guessing and moaning (well screw that, some are never satisfied) would be tuned down.

That would be because TH is incapable of making a clear, concise, unambiguous post, nor has he been able to from the start. And of course because of that SOE did what any good soullesscorporation would do...they promoted him.

I mastered my 4 holocron professions, but when I checked, it said that I only feel a faint sense of the force. Do I have a long wait for the old man?

ok so I have an inner glow that means im force sensitive and should be seeing an old man soon aye?

I only mastered 6 professions at complete random and got the message "You feel an inner glow. The force is with you." So does that mean I'll have to wait long for him?
