The 4 holocron thing must be crap, because I have a brand new char that hasn't done anything other than get the POI's, & she has a surge while 2 others who have mastered many professions along with getting all the same POI's as her only feel a slight difference.
Seems like they might have just applied the same random process to the badges as they did with the professions before. This really screws over the entertainers & crafters again though...figures.

After silent holo, its out of order... but this means i'm going to get in "for free" eventually once they let more people in, and i will start with 5 skill trees?

I'm terribly confused and would like something clarified.
When I logged on today, I had the Inner Glow.
HOWEVER, I have never done ANY holocron professions.
Does the fact that I glowed the instant publish 10 came out (I had all the required badges beforehand) mean I am in the first group, or is my lack of holocron professsions mean I'm in the last group?

Wait, so have you never mastered ANY proffessions?
just because you didnt know it was a holo proffessions doesnt mean it wasnt

I've masterd 5 professions.
My question is, have I gotten into the first group because of my inner glow? Or am I near the back because, at best, I've somehow without knowing down 1 of my required holo profs?

If you have no holo-professions (the magical word used to describe the ones needed to get a Jedi type character) then the only way you can get your Jedi type character is to complete the new path, ie. You feel a warm inner glow. The Force is with you.
Basically unless everyone interpreting it wrong, the only other way to get in is to havecompleted atleast three Holo-professions.
The only 100% not clear thing right now is, do you get your visit within 1-3 days of feeling the warm inner glow period, or is it like if you had it when you loged on you get within 1-3 days otherwise when you get it you will get in after group #4 assuming you didn't have atleast three holo-professions. Atleast that's what I believe the uncertainty is. The other thing not specified is how long the wait is expected to be for the visit is you feel the warm glow but did not get 7 or 8 holo-professions.
As for me, I completed 18 professions with atleast 4 of them holo's, AND I had the warm inner glow when I logged on. Weather or not I continue to pay another monthfor another MMORPG I'm playing off and on will depend on if I get the visit before Sept 3rd. I hope I do, it will save me money, lol

This thing is I'm confused on the glowing thing mixed with the holocron professions. I saw a thread where it said that if you have Inner Glow the minute Pub 10 came out, you will be visited in the next 1-3days.
However, will this also be bound to how many holocron profs I have left to do? Is this an and/or situation I guess is what I really want to know.

*sighs* Ok perhaps my first post wasn't clear enough. You DO NOT have to be glowie to qualify for a visit. Those who hologrinded DO NOT NEED to glow, UNLESS they want to get in on the first lot and didn't do 32 professions. 4 holo crackers won't glow unless they do the POI's, but they are flagged for Old Man visits.
There is a difference between old man flagged and glowie. But the only two ways to be in the FIRST group and get your visit in the next three days are to have done 32 holo's OR be glowie. Those who did their 4 holo's and some other profs are still flagged, but just need to wait for the rush to calm down...

can anyone (devs expecially) confirmi this ?
i never did the holo grinding cause i heard about the new path thing, instead i played and played visited many places done many quests and stuff and to my surprise when i logged ater patch 10 went live i felt the inner glow...
i know that i am "elegible to see the old man"
but when?
in 1-3 days or just holo grinders qualify for the first groups?
if i am not on the first group, and , let s assume the worst, i am on the last cause the 5 missing profession is related to holo proof, around when i ll be able to encounte the old man??
This is very tedious because in fear of missing the old man i am going around without swoops and constantly buffed (to challenge the siths that attack you after the old man appears)
it has FROZEN my game !!
PLEASE HELP!!!

Yup, seeing as you did 4 holo profs (the last holo will be in that group somewhere) and a few extra ones, my guess would be you are in group 3 out of 4. Bout the same place I am...
Just got to point out I have no extra information than anyone else, but after browsing a few fan sights, reading all the CSR screenies and posts and all, I'm 99% sure this is what they are saying - it all makes sense and is fair as well...

You did the PoI method before publish 10 and are now glowing. Congratulations, you are in the very first of the first to get the visit.
