You want to hear something funny?

When the game first launched, everyone was hyped up and felt that the game was really cool. The problem with SWG was the many bugs the game had that pretty much made a few people run off. Jedi profession get's introduced and since 98% of the people who bought SWG thought they were going to be Jedi's, SOE layed a slap in our face and pretty much made it impossible. So players started canceling accounts and people like me who still have their account active since day one just doesnt play anymore.

Now SOE has come up with a great idea. Let's get an old man to show up and you can be a Jedi. What's the problem with that? If you don't have 20+ professions and 80% of your POI's done, then your not going to see the old man. If you don't have 20+ professions and only you manage to do one you can still see the old fart. All you have to do is finish the theme parks, 3 jedi quests and 3 corvette's. What's the problem with that? It's impossible because you never find a group to corvette and it cannot be done solo only with a group of 8 and 2 of those 8 members must be Medics.

SOE has tricked us once again forcing us to play this pathetic game so that we can become Jedi's. I've paid SOE every month since the game came out and they have not once said, let's give this guy a break because he's been with us the first year when we had public beta =). But instead, they come up with a BS plan to keep you playing. I'm not interested in other professions. I want to be a BH and become a Jedi. Do I look like a fruit to be dancing like a gay guy in a cantina? No, that's why I didn't do holos. I don't find it fun grinding 20+ professions just to find the secrets of the force.

Can't you come up with something better? Like a story line so that characters can do quests step by step rather then /shout to people on how to find missions? I'm tired of having to search the message board for information that's difficult to find. I try to look for corvette information and I find members talking about their experience rather then how to get there.

SOE is a joke and this game is a joke. For the money that I have put into SWG, I deserve an easier way to become a Jedi, just like how it's easy to become a **edit** dancer.

My point in all this is, why aren't there more detailed information on what we have to do to meet the old **edit** and become Jedi's? Why do you have to make everything a mystery. Why are you paying those CSR's when they don't know crap. The only answser they can come up with is "Search the Forums". Did you actually look into their resume before you hired them? It's like working IT and the only answer you come up with his, "It's your memory", or "formatt your HD".

Get with the program man, EverQuest II and World Of Warcraft will surely put this game out of business if you don't do something.

You should read the whole thing and you'll understand. It's about keeping you playing but with interest. Not making a Jedi profession impossible to reach and then coming up with an idea to make it easier yet it's still impossible. I ask SOE to give us a break man, been here over a year now and I'm still not interested. I LOVE STAR WARS, but this game is impossible. It kind of feels incomplete. Most MMORPG have story lines where you can follow step by step. SWG doesn't have that. You h ave to ask players how to do this and that. It's annoying!

Ummm..... DUH!

The grocery store sent you a flyer showing their sales TO GET YOU TO SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE!

A car dealer downtown made a commercial TO GET YOU TO SPEND YOUR MONEY THERE!

Should I keep going?

I've already checked that out for the old man. The problem is finding all the badges. The theme parks, the warren (have no clue where) the Jedi quests. There is no solid information. The only thing that get's me angry the most is the lack of information the game has. You have to rely on the message board and it shouldnt be like that. I don't like to post on here because it's too much drama to handle with some members who disagree. I just want to be able to find things easier rather then ask people in the game or waist my valuable time searching.

I have a life you know, and it's not SWG. Some of you might have no life and call yourself Power Gamers, but your more like non social gamers who sit behind their computer 24/7 when they can and play. Most of us have to work and raise a family and when we do have that time to play it's not enough. Does SOE know that? No, they don't care just as long as you "POWER GAMERS" aka suckers in the SOE pond continue to play.

Sorry if my message is out of line, but I'm really ticked off that this game did not live up to what it was suppose to be and that's a FACT. Like I said, I love Star Wars and to give my life up to become a Jedi is not worth it.

DOSI: What the hell are you talking about? We're talking about a video game here, not things you need in life to survive.

OBVIOUSLY this is to keep people playing. This is a game, and people want to play it. Do you have a problem with that?

1 star for not using the search feature to find one of the hundreds of posts like this.

What he is saying, is that OF COURSE they are creating this content to keep you paying... why else would they do it? This may be difficult for you to understand, but their purpose is to make money.

Uhh, there is a lot of "detailed" info on how to meet the old man. Try checking the forums more?

Seriously, I got all the POIs and stuff and met the old man only 3 days after thepatchwent livefrom reading a few posts here on what I need to get. Not only that, but this is with a character who started out on the kettemoore server only 3 weeks ago! He was a TKM and that's it, yet I managed to get it all in 2 days, then ran into the old man on the third day.

You just want it all handed to you on a silver platter without any work. Guess what, from the beta it was said becoming a Jedi was going to be something so hard it would take you a year. Now, you can become a Jedi initiate in a minimum of about 4 and a half months. Is that too long for you, too hard? Deal with it.. if you could just "select" Jedi then nearly everyone would be one for PvP and PvE reasons. The storyline in the game would then make absolutely no sense. It already is barely hanging on with the amount of Jedi we see through the "hard" method as you claim.
