Ok im fed up of buying skilltapes, can anyone point me in the direction of a guide or whats the best NPC group(s) to loot CA's/AA's from?

Won't do much against an Elder not unless you use a NS Energy Lance. I find the lesser NS's get more bang for the buck. Protectors, Spell Weavers, Sentinals and Stalkers all have the potential to drop good loot. Got a +11 Polearm Speed AA from a Spell Weaver one time.

aakuans on talus are great for frequency of drops but they only go up to +6. Still well worth the effort IMO

just bought a +15 pistol accuracy while moving AA for 1 mil. asked the guy what had dropped it andhe said a NS Protector.

not that they drop SEAs often tho..../shrug

You'll have to kill literally hundreds of elders before you even get a SEA (and chances are it will be a broken mod). Your best bet is to kill spellweavers, protectors and SMC Arch Witches as they spawn more frequently.

Protectors are honestly the best kind. Easier to kill than an Elder, but still drop decently high tapes. I can solo a protector in a minute as a master swordsman (not even speedcapped). So I'm sure others can do even better. Just find a spawn and work it as much as you can.
