In my mind i thought that these new quests where gonna be easier that the old ones where u hologrind but if u know the facts it isnt easyer. For even someone get out of the village and become a jedi initiate you need a total of 20 million xp which i think is complete BS. If you work at sony and you read this i am beging you to lower the amount of xp to get even jedi initiate. even 1 million is hard to grind but asking for 20 milllion thats just outragious.

Im sure in the old system i grinded out well OVER 20millione xperience in order to hit Jedi Initiate and i didnt even do all the proffesions. If you cant handle a grind jedi is definatly not for you.

Well I see it like this, Jedi is not 100% quest base like the Dev's lead us to believe. It is still a grind, I'd rather have to grind through 32 professions or 33 professions than wait three weeks, get a quest, have to grind the equivalent of 6-8 Elite professions than start over in another 3 weeks. Do the math, your grinding out around 36-48 professions to get initiate. I agree the path to Jedi initiate needs a little attention. Waiting is fine, grinding xp is fine, but the extent of the XP grind is a little BS in my opinion.

its actually not that bad, 20mil xp isn't really that much....I play for a couple hours a day...go hunting and what not, and the end or those couple hours, I'm usually maxed out at 900k xp and then the 90k combat from that.....it actaully wont take that long to get the 20mil xp you need.....I actually like this new way because you actually get to see people running around, and not just sitting there, grinding a crafting prof. thought, the solo groups kind suck, I liked it when people actually hunted together...

Uhh... hello??? He's talking about 20 million FORCE XP!!!
20 million normal XP allows you to level up 1 branch. You need to unlock 6 branchs to unlock Padawan.
So that's about 120million of normal XP buddy... it's long... it will take months... and well I dunno if I'll get bored halfway, but I'll see when the time comes!
Now don't go tell me it's fast. Yes in 3 hours worth of time I'll get 700k Rifleman XP and 70k of combat XP. That will give me around 40k of Force XP... just the first box requires 175,000 Force XP! So it's long.

in a 3hour buff set if you can max out BOTH your combat proffessions 900k, even as a casual gamer ( because 3hrs is 3hrs )...Assuming only 900k per set+300k combat exp per set it will take 15 full days of straight grinding to accomplish it now if you get 1.8mil per set it will cost nearly half that time ( and its more then possible )...At only one buff set a day it will take MUCH less time the average hologrinder
By the way i would rather grind out 20million force experience then i would grind out Jedi again, atleast your not being hunted, it takes less time and you can wear armour.

For those of you who have not even unlocked. I feel your pain, but the brutal truth is, if you want to be a hardcore jedi this is only the start of the long arduous grind.
Jedi is by far the hardest grind and also once you are there a very long one as well.
The only advice I can give you, is if you think this is a long grind, think twice about being jedi. Since its only the harsh beginning of months more of endless cresture killing and looking over your shoulder.
Best of luck to all

lol.. a million xp? hard to get?
Cmon man. ANY master combat profession can EASILY get 900,000xp in a single nights worth of grinding. That's in under 2 hours time, assuming you know what you're doing.
Anyways, as far as I understand, it's 20,000,000xp per tree, and you need 6 trees in total.
I could be wrong but I'm fairly sure that's what it is. If it's 20,000,000 in total then my grind just became a lot more realistic.

heh I'd say the more annoying part it the amount of times you have to swoop to the village than just the experience grinding.

For those who keep saying 20 mil XP is easy,
Yes it is,
Butwere talking about FS XP.
ie, what you get when you convert your regular XP into Force Sensitive
Sooooo Lets do a lil maths =D
ok,
So, 900k is the cap for say, unarmed combat XP.
900K XP gets converted into Force Sensitive XP, at a rate of 30 > 1
Soooo
that 900k thatyou just worked up.. Turns into 30k force sensative XP..
you didnt even make a dent.
20 million looks a little further off now right?

Ok, the actual XP isn't hard to get in the meaning of the word hard being something difficult to do. It's by no means hard to get experience when you're a master combat profession. I wouldn't use "hard" to describe the grind, I would use "mindnumbingly boring and insanely tedius" to properly describe the grind. It's not hard, it's just rediculously repeatative and boring.
How is this much differant from holo grinding? Ok, so the inconvenience of switching professions each time trying to master all of them is gone. However, some would consider that fun, because you got to try new professions you would never have normally done, and you might find one you really enjoy and want to stick with. Also consider that now in this system there's the inconvenience of swooping to and from the village every time you cap your xp, which converts to a few hundred times to get to padawan.
IMO the no system is by no means better or easier than the old system, and if anything it's worse than before. It would be nice if we had the option to still grind other professions for holocron credit in the new system. This way people can choose to grind the same thing, or to try something new and be rewarded either way for playing the game how they like.
It's sort of Ironic. The complaint of the old system is that you had to switch professions all of the time. However consider the new system, it locks you into your professions if you want to finish in a reasonable time.I think having both options would be a fair balance.

UMMMM.. I thought It was not supposed to be easy to be a Jedi. Yet most seem to think it should? Too many running around as it is lol. I think it should have been extremely hard in the first place.. ! Just my thoughts.
The complaint is NOT that it is too hard. The complaint is that it is too MIND NUMBINGLY BORING. There is a big differance between the two things, and it's sad that the devs can't even realize this themselves.
