So last night me and a few friends were trying to get into the hunting reserve (or whatever its called) in Wookieeland.

We each split up, as we got the hides at different times.I get to the point whereI have to do the space excort mission.

Background: I bought JTL when it came out and really did not like it too much. The twitch aspect is not what I wanted in an MMORPG. I have a PS2 for that if I want.

So I am in space doing the escort, talking with my bud that are doing theirs as well. I get jumped by the fighters and the lag is so awful, that I can not hit these ships at all. The fighters are making right-angle turns and rubber-banding all over the place. Maybe its because I am playing at a peak time, but it was awful. My two friends had the same issues and gave up on it.

Basically, their opinion was that wookieeland can go to (your favorite place here). I am of a similar opinion. I know that the devs want to integrate the ground and space game, but I think they should understand that there is a large group of players that do not like thespace game. I being one of them.

This also ties into the Boba Fett Relics quest, where I got waxed in space because I couldn't kill the fighters and got ganked by some neighboring fighters that agro'd me. Now I am stuck on that quest too, unable to go forward or backward init.

Please devs, put some thought into making resets for these quests so that players who fail orhave technical (lag) problems, can do them again. Otherwise, you are locking us out of a lot of the new content.

Thanks,

Eawet

I've done the quest you are speaking of and encountered no lag. I'm on the Intrepid Server though. What are you system specs? I know my game experience jumped really high after adding another 512m of ram to my computer.

You are definately entitled to your opinion, As I am entitled to disagree with it.

I think the mix of ground and space is great. It really makes the game more "starwarsy" to me. Granted there are numerous bugs

that can really get to ya....

I tend to have less problems in space than on the ground though.

I found it fun as hell, you need to either :

A: Upgrade your computer to handle outer space

B: Turndown yournebulae

C: Begin to level up past tier 1

D: Dont make them nerf these missions, they are so much fun for us people that have been waiting for it.

As another person said, This is the Star in Star Wars that I have been looking for, JTL did crap with combining missions for ground and space. Now we actually get some good inegrated space and ground missions.

I took my tier 1 friends on both the missions for Boba Fett, the hunting grounds, and the Darth Vader space mission. They all enjoyed it even though they couldnt do too much, you just must have the patience to be able to level up before taking on stuff you cant handle, and or upgrade your computer to handle twitch gaming.

I *love* that they've mixed space and ground... it's been long overdue.

Shush Reek.

I am a 2222 pilot, so I should be able to handle these ships no problem. When I played in space before, I was able to handle groups of enemies like this without too much difficulty.

I will check my settings to see if it improves.

I don't like the twitch of space, but I do appreciate the Star Warsiness of it all. I just do not think that JTL is all that well cooked to begin with. Add to it buggy missions and you can understand my concern.

personally I love it; it's why I bought the game in the first place. Unfortunately, though, as you have mentioned, lag in space makes for a horrible experience. There's no way to hit anything with blasters when the rubberbanding gets horrible, because where you are shooting is not where that ship REALLY is! My pimped out oppressor has to dogfight for like 10 minutes sometimes against level 2 or 3 enemies, which usually go down in just 2 or 3 hits!

Adjusted to fit my opinion.

Seriously though, I'm in agreement with the other poster who said that they were torn between liking and disliking the mixing. On the one hand, before RotW hit most of us pilots were seriously hankering for some integration with the ground game. But now that it's here, we are now remembering why we abandoned the ground game in the first place!

JtL was actually rather well cooked before RotW, just empty content wise. All of the bugs you space newbies are running into weren't here before the expansion, unfortunately.

I have been having the exact same problem with the hunting ground entrance quest, I can do the first bit in space no probs but when it comes to fighting the wookiees in a-wings that spawn in to have a go at me and my escorted ship I have not got a chance at hitting them. I am not a bad pilot by any means (3433 rebel with some good equipment) but these ships were all over the place, I did not manage to take one of them out before another load spawned in and then when the ship I was escorting had to run off I still had not killed a single one of them.

Unfortunatly this now means I am stuck on 2 quests, 1 to get into Etyyy and another to find somone's brother who was last seen in there. I will be taking a friend up next time with me to have a go with his krayt and my x-wing, hopefully we will get this sorted
