No Jedi were unlocked in Beta. So therefore, no force guides *wink*

It has also been said as soon as someone figures out how to do it, Sony will change it to keep jedi "mysterious"

Dear lord, I hope not!

Hopefully it's different for every account, or at least random as to what method of several dozen will work for your particular account. Otherwise the servers are going to be overun with Jedi characters as soon as someone figures out the method.

Too many Jedi is a very bad thing.

Seeing the Jedi in the 'help the Jedi, win a house' thing from Beta was cool.

I'd love to make Jedi..I don't care if it takes me a year but I'd like to get one eventually.

My opinion is, and always has been this.

They have 2 things they need to make sure of when the do this.

1) It MUST be automated. Having live team people looking over people's shoulders when they get close is not very cost-effective.

2) It MUST be different each time, or else a guide will pop up here and everyone will have a FS.

So to that end, I propose that there are certain "types" of things you must do in order to achieve it. Things like, must be Master of "a class." Must own a home, or other building. Must have completed most of the Theme Parks. Must have completed 100 random NPC missions, etc.

This way, there will be a delay in the players figuring out WHAT they did to become FS, it involves mastery of the major features of the game, and it is different for each player.

Thats very possible, I think the key is your characters actions. I dont know if that means you have to live as though you were a jedi. Like dont just go around killing people, help people instead. Be a survivor, not materialistic, etc...who knows..

umm theres a problem... First its basicly 1 life, Like Diablo 2 hardcore. Also everyone is looking for you, im sure there is some huge rewards for killing jedi. So you wont see half the people pulling out light sabres in the streets. If you read the guides or FAQ's maybe you wouldnt ask such stupid questions.

My question is, how will you know you unlocked it?

Hopefully it will tell you somehow.

I'm not sure what this means, but i did a mission for a NPC in Talus(sp?) My reward was pieces of a broken Holocron. The description was somthing like this:

"This ancient Holocron is beyond repair. Theancient symbols seem strangely familiar..."

It's an odd situation. Plus, the guy who a took the mission from was a jawa named XXX(cant remember) and his description was "(a criminal)".

Anyone else get this?

there was a great post in the forums before the game went live. i am not sure if all those posts were deleted or not but by process of elimination of the dev posts it was determined it might be in game quests probably in a certain order(if i remember right the post right).

the faq eliminates alot of theories on how to become a jedi. it cant be playing a good/bad charecter, probably not advancing charecter to advanced proffesions(too easy). so there has to be something that they use to unlock your fs slot that is computer controlled by in game mechanics

I don't think it has anything to do with your character behaving in a "jedi-like" manner or anything like that. After all, that character isn't the one who becomes force-sensitive, it just opens a FS slot for a brand new character. So your primary character's behavior shouldn't make any difference. I'm more inclined to believe the string-of-quests-in-a-certain-order theory. And maybe theme parks have something to do with it.

just slightly related to the subject....but once this "force sensitive character slot" is unlocked, i wondering once you start playing as a jedi and you become permanently dead...does the slot lock itself back up or are you free to continue starting out as a jedi until you a) get the hang of it or b)get frustrated by constant failures and return to your old characters?
