Its almost a year for me now, in about a week or so... and I happen to find some old jot notes that I kept.. some of them i got a real kick out of...
Note #1: "Womp Rat GROUP hunt on tatooine 7 EST...." there is a list names there... only two that really stand out to me are -armond, regly (as i was in a guild with them).... i remember this one as it was the frist I went on... great time, we went on to hunt bols and tried Krayts... I died on the way there so I didn't get to do much.... (all this was done via walking... no bikes back then)
Note #2: "Find hermit quests... leads to jedi slot"
Note #3: "catching and relaseing bugs from animalcage leads to good force points"
Note #4: "Personal Harvestory of BER 3 selling for 1000kon Talus"Damn wish it was still like that
Note #5: "Creature mount,100 000, imperial outpost" I guess I wrote that down because i thought it was cheap... must of been launch day.
Note #6: "looted crystal from thug, gave regly yellow crystal for his scout blaster" I had no idea what it did or what it was for back then, but i did get a nice blaster had 1.3 speed and good damage
Not #7: "Head to lok to finish imp quest" This was for act two i belive... the WP was at the far FAR corner of the map... furthest away from shuttle... damn that was one hell of a walk... wish I could remember who help me... as i ran into a group that had alot of pets... finished it in no time with their help...
thats all for now, got a few more that i haven't had the chance to look at yet... ahh the good old days....

Ah the "good old days". I can remember sitting around in the Kor Vella Medical center healing peoples wounds trying to master Medic, only took a couple of months! Now with a tumbler you can get it in an afternoon. This was back before the Crackdown when people still went to Kor Vella to kill the dreaded swoop gangs who roamed the streets. I also remember when the Rebel Base was first discovered and a ton of people started cloning in Kor Vella, man were they pissed about having to walk back to the base after getting healed. It might sound crazy but I remember these "old days" fondly, people were always so helpful and polite back then. There seems to be alot more arrogance now a days. Thanks for starting this thread Korlan. I hope more people will post up there memories of those good old days.

Getting incapped by Durnis and Gubburs around Kor Vella. Back then I was Novice Marksman and Novice Brawler, and I couldn't kill them one on one with skills. Now with no Brawler skills whatsoever, I can go unarmed against them. Poor little guys.
Swoopers jumping anyone walking to the Med Center in Kor Vella. I was taking the tour from the Holocron on first day, and ended up almost getting killed when I ran across the bridge.
Seeing CDEF Rifles on the bazaar for 3K, when I didn't even have that to my name. Hearing that Laser Rifles were selling for 25K, then seeing my first T21's selling for 100k. I thought who has that amount of credits, LOL.

The raids by imperials on Anchorhead, then the counter-raid by rebels on Bestine. Those are probably my fondest memories in the game.
Also, the imperials who would sit outside Anchorhead in a private house with only their names on the house admin list, they'd pop out to kill a rebel with a TEF and run back in. This was before the devs implemented the TEF=no entry rule. It was fun putting up a house beside their house and waiting till they'd come out, then you come out and kill them

My best old memories...hmm...
Going to visit the POI's before vehicles made the visits faster...and before you got badges for them...
Imp raids on anchorhead and the 1 reb raid on bestine I participated in
The rebel "army" (entire reb pop of anchorhead atm...about 30 people or so) fighting a single AT-ST and jsut barely winning...
My multiple trips into the squill cave
Least favorite memories:
Imps coming into anchorhead with more than 1 AT-ST...and 3 rancor's each...
Searching all day for rancor's on dath with my friends...then finding 3 after they'd left...all enraged...all spawned right near me...maskscent (even master lvl) was useless lol

First hunt to the Narglatch cave. About 1am my time. 3/4's of our group got wiped out very early on. I started freaking out that I was going to be killed, and never get my corpse[remember corpse runs?!], because we were so deep in the cave. The group leader was yelling that we would be fine, but we all knew we were shortly heading back to Moenia on the clone express. And then there was Cabe... he helped me, calmed me down a bit, got me out of the front entrance before they all got slaughtered.
Sometimes I still go back there, fully buffed, /shouting "Ain't so tough now, huh?! Where's your Narglatch matriarch now?!?!"

Being able to go into a Cantina in Kor Vella or Tyrena and still be able to heal.
Actually talking with people in those cantinas.
The first run up to the Rebel Hideout. I think we logged when we go there because it took so long. I remember having to camp in the wilderness because group memebers got killed by Wrix's on the way up.
Good Times!

I remember starting in Mos Espa a couple weeks after Launch (darn vacation was poorly timed :-> ), and having so much trouble with the critters outside that I didn't fight anything else but a Lesser Worrt til I got Pistols 2 and could buy a Scout Blaster. Then I think the order went Lesser Womp Rats, then Worrts, then Rill, followed by Rock Mites, and lastly Mound Mites, because they were "Social" meaning a number of them jumped you at once. Two could take you out any day. :->
And nobody, NOBODY dared go beyond the city limits (about 500m out), because there were Scyks out there that could drop you like a hot potato! :->
And running everywhere. A couple months later, with Master Marksman under my belt, a Laser Rifle, FWG5 Pistol and E11 Carbine, a group of about 10 of us ran from Mos Entha to the Krayt Graveyard and took on our first Krayt! Gawd, I wish I'd remembered to clone in Mos Entha! hehe The run out there the second time, and the third, seemeda lot longer than the first one. Maybe because only about half of us made the second and third trips together. But after 3 cloning trips for nearly everyone, we finally got it killed! Probly took two hours. lol
My first set of Bone Armor. Was I studly looking or what? Then seeing someone with Chitin, and wondering how long I'd have to save up for that! (It took a month anyway.) Then Mabari, the "ultimate", because nobody knew you needed Kinetic resist more than anything else.
The best memory is that nobody knew any more than you did, about resists, weapon speed vs. damage, critter vulnerabilites, anything! We all learned together, from the Power Gamers mostly.
No, no! the best memory is "sleeping" in the Mos Espa Hotel to log out, because NOBODY had a house, usually behind the bar off to the side of the main lobby, so nobody could see you and steal your stuff during that 30-minute logout period! LOL And always making sure to "sit" and type "/logout" and not quit, because that meant your avatar didn't stay "in the game" in full view of everyone for that 30 minutes or so. LOL

My best moments actually came on returning to the game after a hiatus...
I restart in Mos Eisley and I am stunned to see the number of people online, and active in the city. The cantinas and medical centers were packed, the flow of people in and out of the starport and shuttle port was nearly continuous, and there was so much player chatter going on!
It was just what you would expect from a bustling starport
Then i see the speeders and was like OMG that is sooo cool, and while I am boggling over that a gun battle breaks out in the street outside the starport, blaster fire everywhere.
The kicker was arriving at the starport in Coronet and seeing so many players..talk about a big city feel, with 50 or so players just waiting at the starport alone. it seemed like evert corner I turned in Coronet there were players everywhere (my radar was covered in a light blue smear)
At that point I was like Im in for good this time!

I remember an architect running through the streets of Doaba Guerfel (where I spent most of my newb days and when people were still there) yelling, "Small house for sale, 25K!." I thought WOW, you can own a house in this game, how cool is that? Of course 25K was WAY out of my price range. Gave me something to look forward to.
I also remember sitting in a camp (remember those?) with somebody I had hooked up with to do missions. He had a probot droid, which I thought was also quite neato, and he told me about there being some secret way to become force sensitive and then a jedi. Really?, I never knew THAT when I bought the game.

most of my earliest memories of the game involve tatooine seeing as how i never left AH, Bestine, or Eisley for about a month.
looking confused as i saw someone run past me yelling SQUILL! then visiting the wonderful cloning facilities
doing artisan crafting missions between AH and Bestine to make money
always passing centerpoint w/o ever knowing what had happened there
and my favorite memory: right after i loaded into the game and started running around Eisley (before everyone started there) having a wookiechase me downspeaking that strange language then teaching it to me, give me 500 credits, a cdef rifle, carbine, pistol, and camp kit because he liked my character bio "noob"
