Being new was the best thing in this game, my most embaressing thing (there must be others):

Not knowing about autorun (Before mounts and vehicles of course)

Ah, for me:

- My first raid on Moenia. I still run into a few of the Imps that I was with at the time.

- Going with that same group, and my brother when he still played an Imp Zabrak (thought he wouldn't get a FP hit for that one), to the Imperial theme park. Completed it when the loot was crap and you could barely talk to that one guy ni back cause it was so bugged.

- Taking my chances with a shaupaut hunter and realizing that traps actually helped a little. Then getting pwned.

Ahh, the good ole days...

The first day I logged into the game during Beta along with my friend (whom I gave my buddy key to).. We started in Moenia and just started wandering around town. I see this huge pillar of light in town near the starport.. I /shout "what is this beam of light? Does anyone else see it?" (having no idea what a waypoint was until a kind stranger let us in on the secret) I knew I wanted to become a Bounty Hunter, being a star wars nut and BH being *the* iconic profession at the time.

At some point we decided to take a mission and head out to it. Its night time on Naboo and the swamps are particularly dark and eerie of course. Neither of us can see very well even with our Personal Light (which we didnt discover until we where almost out to our mission)

We get out to our mission and begin strategically taking out the enemies one at a time.Suddenly I'm being attacked.. My health is fading fast and I turn around to see a "shaupat" (yep, the plain old regular shaupat) which is at least as tall as my character and is whooping my butt. I run off into the swamp a bit farther and eventually he gives up chase. (I had no idea burst run existed at this point) /tell friend omg, a giant monkey just about took me out.. (my friend is about to fall out of his chair laughing at me at this point)

For the rest of the evening we got to see first hand what the true meaning "stalker" really was.. this shaupat hung around and seemed to follow us as we continued fighting our mission and some other random things in the area.. a few times he ran up and attacked me (completely ignored my friend for some reason) and once he even incapped me.

We both got hooked on the game that night and have been playing ever since. We continued to play on Ahazi after the game went live.. neither of us had armor.. we either didnt know about buffs or they where so rare at the time we just never had them.. We hunted around major cities alot at the time, killing Nuna's etc which where actually a real challenge and finding enemies that did not gang up on us was of major importance. Personal Harvesters where an amazing device that we strove to save up for so we could make things (most of our materials came from sampling by hand back then) When someone would drag a Fambaa to town the massive battles would take place to take these huge beasts down.. invariably we would get killed during these fights but always came back for more.

Eventually I made it all the way toNovice Bounty Hunter (woot, playing a BH in the star wars universe..) and promptly got my rear end handed to me when I attempted my first mission. After much trial and error I eventually made it to Master Bounty Hunter without ever having armor or buffs.. there was no "find and track" option on the droids. The exp and payper mission was painfully low at the time and creature mounts/vehicles did not exist. More importantly, Hologrinding did not exist..

Nowdays I've done almost all the professions, many just to see what they are like, some for hologrinding, some just because I got bored as a Master of XXX profession and wanted to do something new. I always have armor when hunting, always have the best weapons I can get, and nearly always hunt buffed to the max. I still love the game, but I miss the old days when going out to fight was difficult. When taking a friend was not just a very good idea but in some cases necessary for survival..(those darn butterflies where the scourge of the galaxy)

Week One, just sitting in the sand, streetside in Mos Eisley, talking to another girl. We just sat and enjoyed each others company for a while, and I marvelled at how we shifted positions as we talked. We didn't do anything... just had a nice, friendly discussion for about a half hour, before going our separate ways.

I remember just having the time of my life running around Moenia and it's surroundings seeing the sites, chasing chuba's lol. Finding big associations of friends (before cities) who were all part of a PA and just going site-seeing was really fun. I remember before the POI tab came out discovering some cool places and thinking I was so special for knowing about it hehe. Also remember the big scary imps and their AT-STs as well as the master ch's with their 3 rancors hahah. Having to run to and from wherever you wanted to go when you were short on cash.

I miss the good old days now it's a bunch of n00bs who can get all the badges in a week and spam for money (well no difference in that last part.)

Last summer, the day I joined my first (and only) guild.

I was taken on a tour of Theed by Markarian, was told to put all the graphics on high, and was lead up to the "lookout" thingy behind the palace...I almost dropped out of my chair. Stunning. I felt so star warsy
