I know he didn't, just seems like to most people, the only way to play this game was to hologrind.
I know, i watched it destroy the game. I just hope by making the proverbial carrot on the end of the string attainable through quests and time-releasing, that the game can be salvagable. Its a dream, but the hologrind is dead, thats all that matters now...

This whole "bash the jedi/wanabe jedi" is becoming really tired
P10 (forgetting those people who unlocked before) will slow down new jedi (fact), imho it will also lessenthe people want to be jedi, the line between jedi and non-jedi is a lot more blurred now. A lot of people who wanted jedi (myself included) now have the choice to gain advantages from being FS but without becoming a jedi.
Lets face it - Jedi is the big thing in SW, it may not be what everyone wants and that is good but there are obviously more people who want jedi than not. get over it or becomea BH (i know there are problems before someone starts)

By making jedi a common profession rather than a rewardable goal (the actual reward is the FS trees and the second slot) the devs are actually going to make jedi LESS a likely choice. When any class that is attainable becomes common and is powerful... NERF. The only ones you see who will stay jedi are the ones that actually want it. Sure the first few months are going to be swarming with jedis.
The graduating classes of the village will cause a surge in the jedi population... except that when the first set of jedi from the village emerge... JTL will be out and the CB will be either complete or nearing completion (each stage of the village lasts 3 weeks... do the math) all of the sudden the other classes (according to the corrospondents) will be very viable and jedi will no longer be the strongest kid on the block. Add in the fact that the buff and HAM system is being reworked and the fact that no jedi will show any signs of power until they hit knight... yeh.

The xp requirements will hopefully get people playing their chosen professions more, too. Or, it could lead to a new wave of grinders, how many AFK dancers and musicians are we going to have as people leave them going to gain xp as the sleep/work ect? You might not need to grind through 25+ professions, but you still need a ton a xp, and I'm sure many lazy players will be doing things like this.
I realized how sad that was now that i think about it. For my character i can turnover any combat xp for the jedi xp, i am maxed on ever possible xp, but other will find the cheapest xp and use that. Though i hear entertainers can't convert their xp
