1. Introduction
Publish 10 is finally here, and I thought I would post this up to help people get through publish 10 with all the current information, and tips and such.
2. Holo Grinders
Thunderheart: "Since there is a large wave of players that will be going through the system, we are going to be monitoring traffic daily as players start and finish the Force Sensitive quests. When enough people have completed their path, we will open it up the village to the next group. Groups 1 – 4 will qualify for a visit when the village traffic has died down."
Holo grinders, I respect you for spending the time to use the way of grinding out as many as 32 professions to gain access to the village. If you were unable to complete all of your holocrons, or find the elusive hidden profession(s), then you will still recieve credit for the professions that you have done. The system works like this for your holocron grinding credit.
Note: If you did not unlock, or are not on your silent, you will have to have the message "You feel an inner glow. The Force is with you!" before you can get a visit from The Old Man. See section 4 for more information.
1. If you have unlocked before publish 9 was released, then you should already have your Jedi
2. If you unlocked after the time publish 9 was released, but before publish 10 was released, then you should get an automatic visit from The Old Man (See section 4 for more information on The Old Man), who will give you the intro quests, which will in turn, give you access to the village. When you get to the village, you will be able to get free training in 6 force sensitive branches, which will let you take the Padawan trials to become a full fledged Jedi.
3. If you did NOT unlock before publish 10, then you will still get credit for your grinding.
No professions remaining -- 6 Force Sensitive branches will be granted, and you will get automatic access to the village
One Profession remaining -- 5 Force Sensitive branches will be granted, and you will get automatic access to the village
2 remaining -- 4 Force Sensitive branches will be granted
3 remaining -- 3 Force Sensitive branches will be granted
4 remaining -- 2 Force Sensitive branches will be granted
5 remaining -- 1 Force Sensitive branch will be granted
IMPORTANT: Make sure that DIRECTLY after you unlock one branch and get the experience from it, that you train in the branch, or your next branch unlock will not give you the experience, because your force sensitive experience cap is reached from 1 branch unlock.
Say for example Player A has ground out 3 holocrons. He shall get 3 free skill tree unlocks when he goes to the village.
Now, say for instance Player B has mastered 7 professions, yet has not used any holocrons. He goes to the village, and find he has 2 unlocks! Why is this? It is because he mastered two of his holocron professions without knowing it. You do not have to actually use a holocron to get credit for holo professions.
Player C mastered 4 professions, and did not get any holo credit. Why? None of his professions were holo professions, so he did not recieve any credit.
3. Non Holo Grinders
If you did not holo grind, then you will not get any bonuses when you reach the village. You will also have to have a number of badges, and when you use /checkforcestatus, you will have to have the message "You feel an inner glow. The Force is with you!" in order to qualify for a visit from The Old Man.
Of course, if one of your professions just happened to be a holocron profession, then you get a free unlock for it! Congratulations!
4. The Old Man and The Glowy
The Old Man is an NPC that spawns next to you, when you are away from cities, and gives you the intro quests for The Village, that will let you enter it after you have completed them. But first, unless you have unlocked pre-publish 9, or are on your silent profession, or got in instant glowing when you logged in for the first time when publish 10 came out.Tou will not get a free visit from The Old Man. You will have to have the message "You feel an inner glow. The Force is with you!" when you use the command /checkforcestatus.
It has been stated by Thunderheat, that he may take a while to visit you, soafteer you qualify for a visit from him, you may have to wait a few days. Thunderheart has mentioned that it might take 1-3 days. You apparently have to be outside of a city for the visit to happen, too.
To get this message to display, it has been confirmed that you need a number of badges. Some count more than others. Since this is such an important topic, I shall post another guide that was so thoughtfully put together by Utess. I credit this person for this badgeguide, which you can find at:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=TestCenter&message.id=99164
If you are glowing, you need not get any more badges. But, if you are any of the below ranks:
- You feel no connection with the force. (Level 0)
- You barely notice something different about yourself. (Level 1)
- You feel a faint sense of the force. (Level 2)
- You feel the Force surge within you. (Level 3)
- You have a strong sense of the Force within you. (Level 4)
Note: Glowing is "level 5", and the final one you need to obtain.
Then you need to get the badges that you haven't gotten from this list, or you will not get a visit from the old man. This only applies if you did not unlock, or if you were not on your silent profession(s) before publish 10.

IF THE OLD MAN RUSHED AWAY WHILE YOU WERE DOING THE LAUNDRY:
Do not fret! It has been proven that he will visit you again! Just try taking a shuttle port to another player city, and going outside it, and wait.
5. Your 2nd Character Slot
Since there might not be some people who fully understand this, I'll sum it up in one paragraph.
When you complete the Padawan trials with your main, you recieve a new character slot on the same server. This will be a brand new character, and your main will keep his/her current force sensitive skills, although you may drop the skills, and continue on his/her regular path again.
Your new character can be anything he/she wants to be, but they must go through the force sensitive grind again in order for that character to be a Jedi.
The Padawan Trials:
Once you get 6 complete branches in your force sensitive skills, you will qualify for the Padawan trials. The Old Man will visit you again, and give you your Padawan quest: kill Michaella. He is a Sith, who has 80% resists to everything, except lightsaber, heals himself with the force crystals around him, unless they are destroyed, and has buddies that will try to kill you also who have 45% resists. He will use a lightsaber, and force choke and lightning.
6. Conclusion
This guide is by no way complete, and I don't know everything, even though I have read many, many posts on these topics,so some information may be incorrect. I urge you to post the correct information if you know it, so I may edit this guide to provide guidance to everyone.

7. The Sith
After you have gotten the crystal from the old man's visit, you will be jumped by two spawned Sith Pirates, who will aggro you, and attack you. It has been reported that they are not very hard at all, even someone with no combat skills at all can take them out.
There are two scenarios for this...
1. You win, and loot their bodies. You will get a shadowy datapad that has the location to a Sith camp.
2. They win, and you loose the crystal. The Old Man will have to visit you again...
If you got number one, and I hope you did, you can procede to the waypoint that you got from them. You will come up opon a Sith camp. It has been reported that there are three sith there, and two are easy, like the pirates, while crafters may have trouble with the third one.
Note: There is a known bug with the Sith camp now spawning properly, or they will spawn inside of a building! Some have claimed that if you take a shuttle, or re-log, that the waypoint will re-appear, and the camp will be there this time. If this does not work, then please submit a ticket.
Once you defeat them, you will get another datapad, and this will have the waypoint to The Village of Aurillia. where you will continue your Force sensitive journey!
Note: You must loot the datapad by dragging it into your inventory, or it will display the message "You must loot this item before you can use it", and you will have to wait for the Sith to appear again to get the datapad again.
8. Unexplained/Bugs
The /checkforcestatus system is kind of screwy right now, so it does not reflect your actual force status, except for when you are glowing. So right now, if you are not glowing, then... You're not glowing... There is no way of seeing how close you are...
The group visits seem to have been abolished, since everyone is getting a visit right now. The information still stands in the guide, though
NOTE: Sorry I didn't make clickies, but it screws up the format whenever I do it.
Edit 1: Fixed misplaced information, and added a bit to section 4
Edit 2: Put in a guide to getting the badges, and updated glowing information
Edit 3: Put some more force status information in
Edit 4: Updated glowy informatin, and change/added/removed some information to make it read better and such
Edit 5: Updated 2nd character information
Edit 6: Minor fixes, and put some examples in
Edit 7: Added "The Sith" section
Edit 8: Updated the Padawan trial section, and the Sith section

1) You say that no one who is "glowing" via the new system will be visited by the Old Man until the grinders get visited. Where did you get that information? From my reading of TH's main post, it sounded simultaneous and that the 2 systems don't effect each other. I'm specifically talking about towards the end when he says something to the effect of.... if you are in one of the groups that are on hold, but you qualify via the new system (get glowy), you're automatically qualified (like the grinders who unlocked).
2. Oh, yes. Something that I should have put in, a guide to the badges that you have to get. Thanks for noticing that also!

1. I've heard many different speculations on this, and I wasn't completely clear on this from Thunderheart, so I'm going to leave this the way it is right now on that subject... Thanks for noticing it though. I'll keep looking to get a positive answer.
II. If you completed 2 holocron professions, you get 2 free branches unlocked when you get to the village, and you will get the experience required to train in those branches
III. If you completed 3 holocron professions, you get 3 free branches unlocked when you get to the village, and you will get the experience required to train in those branches
IV. If you completed 4 holocron professions, you get 4 free branches unlocked when you get to the village, and you will get the experience required to train in those branches
II. If you completed4 holocron professions, you get 2 free branches unlocked when you get to the village, and you will get the experience required to train in those branches
III. If you completed5 holocron professions, you get 3 free branches unlocked when you get to the village, and you will get the experience required to train in those branches
IV. If you completed6 holocron professions, you get 4 free branches unlocked when you get to the village, and you will get the experience required to train in those branches
I think that it is just, you have one profession left (according to theholo-credit. Youstill have to grind thosetwo extra professions they threw in there to unlock)if you are at silent, and if you unlock, then it are no professions remaining (according to the holo-credit. You actually in reality grinded two extra professions to gain 1 tree).
I think this makes since, because I know that, at least on the test center, people were reporting getting holo grinding credit when doing 2, sometimes even 1 holo profession. Then again, it could have been bugged, or it could be using something different...
"TH DID state, which makes it pretty acurate, that if you meet the new criteria for getting the old mans visit, you DO NOT have to wait for the hologrinders to be visited"
- Yes, I did fix this in my guide just a little before you posted.
"The ones that have to wait are the ones who don't qualify under the new system but did do the hologrind"
- Yes, unless you are on your silent, or unlocked, to my understanding. I have stated in my guide that some of the information may be inaccurate, since almost half of this stuff has not been tested out on live yet, only the test center. I've researched all around the forums too.
Not disrepecting you or anything
Thanks for voicing your thoughts
If you did not holo grind, then you will not get any bonuses when you reach the village. You will also have to wait until the current hologrinders do the village (Or most of the grinders. The number hasn't been announced) before you can even get a visit from The Old Man. You will also have to have a number of badges, and when you use /checkforcestatus, you will have to have the message "You feel an inner glow. The Force is with you!" in order to qualify for a visit from The Old Man. He will only visit you when it is decided that you are allowed in, UNLESS you were glowing when you first logged on after publish 10 came out."
In this you state that if you are not glowing when you log in after Pub 10, you will have to wait until the hologrinders go through. This is NOT what Th said. he stated that if the hologrinder, and anyone that is not already glowy, want to get in right away, all they have to do is fuffil the new requirements and get to the glowy state. Then they will get the visit from the old man. So if someone logged in after Pub 10 and was NOT glowy and did what was required to get to glowy, then they would get a visit from the old man, within the 1-3 days stuff. According to TH, if you become glowy after pub 10, you will NOT have to wait for the hologrinders to go through first. You will be put into the "instant access" group.
snipaho: This is case, yes.
