Each week, Q-3PO started a thread for you to share game tips with fellow players. Tuesday Tips will continue on. Have a little known command you use all the time, a cool place to visit, a trick (non-exploit) to getting more out of the game? Share it here. To get things started:

Crafting Inventory Control

In Publish 10, there is a handy new option for crafters. A new feature has been added to the options window to help organize and reference resources. Open up your options menu by pressing Ctrl-O and then the Interface button. Scroll to the bottom of the window and you will find a list of crafting values. By checking the corresponding box, your inventory will now display the number of your choice on your resources.

Not only will it display your choice resource value, but it will also display the average value of all the checked boxes. For instance, if you wanted to see the average of a resource’s resistances, you would check the boxes marked, Entangle Resistance, Cold Resistance, Decay Resistance, Heat Resistance and Shock Resistance and when you open up your inventory, the resource will display a little yellow number that will be the average of all those numbers.

Now with a glance, you can open your inventory and check get an inventory average value for the following resource values:

  • Entangle Resistance

  • Cold Resistance

  • Conductivity

  • Decay Resistance

  • Flavor

  • Heat Resistance

  • Malleability

  • Potential Energy

  • Overall Quality

  • Shock Resistance

  • Unit Toughness

Check out last week's tips

Sometimes the inventory window gets bugged and doesn't show everything. If you have a scroll wheel on your mouse, try placing your cursor over your inventory and holding down the Control Key while you scroll the wheel. Your inventory icons will re-size. After you have changed the size, smaller or larger makes no difference, your missing items will be viewable again.

If that isn't the problem, you might have to wait till server reset.

Fairly good idea, but poorly implemented (seems to be the theme for P10)

The displayed average doesn't factor in a resource attribute if it doesn't exist on that particular resource. However, crafting will treat a non-existing attribute as "0."

For example, I want to see (OQ+PE) averages displayed. If my Tolium gas has an OQ of 1000, and no PE value, then the average should be 500. However, it is displayed as 1000. Slightly misleading. EDIT: after fiddling with this more, it just seems bugged. I think it's just showing OQ, and not averaging in the PE. Bottom line, I'm still gonna use my calculator, especially since I have had past experience with your skills as developers.

Also, by averaging values, it assumes that each attribute has equal weight in the final product; however most stats are weighted more or less than 50%, making a flat average misleading towards which resource may be the best for the item.

Fake Tip = Don't bring a pistol to a saber fight (pistol = 100% blocked at master bh/master pistol against a jedi)

Fake Tip 2 = you can use /bo tran from the front of the theed cantina and it can save you from combat death in pvp

Real Tip = If your enemy in pvp swims out of your attack range send a self destruct droid after his butt!

Yeah because it is very quiet today on the boards.. Nothing happening, nothing new. So he had to come up with something while he was bored.

Tip from this team: Bring a bicep or helmet instead of a bracer when crafting a Jetpack. Will save a couple of lives and a lot of time
