Does anyone know where or who or how to get the new auto crafting tool to make the tracking device?? Is it even in game yet? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ah, but the rich crafters need them, so let's stick it to them, right?
IIRC, the tracking device is needed in the phase 4 crafting quest. Phase 4 is repair. Hmm, am I going to let myself get gouged on loot parts so that I can repair better for the very people who are trying to price gouge me, or am I going to give those people the finger and unlock another branch? Gee, that's a tough one.

Well, let's be fair, here. I don't see elite crafters just giving away their stuff.
If I'm a fighter and I have to pay top dollar for my armor and weapons, and I loot something that the crafters need, well I know they have the money for it - they earn it from guys like me.
So, the choices boil down to the same options on either side of the equation: Pay the asking price, or acquire it on your own.
As far as repair? That's a skill that's used to preserve your existing customers. If I drop 260k on a Geno blaster, I'd certainly hope that the weaponsmith will repair it for me when needed. And it's in that smith's best interest to be as good as possible at repairs - the short-sighted might think that breaking my gun is a good way to get me to buy a new one, and I guess that's true... but I'll be buying the new one from someone who takes better care with my investment.

Knock yourself out then. Charge someone out the rear for it. What goes around, comes around.
BTW, I set my prices not to maximize profit, but in an attempt to keep a vendor stocked. I have no idea how much money I make on armor, I just know at what pace I can sell to keep from running dry. I could charge less, but then I'd have empty vendors, and no customer likes empty vendors.

I'm not saying you charge too much, I don't even play on the same server.
And I know that good armor and weapons require some pretty esoteric resources, and that the people who mine them know it too and they charge a lot for them. It's reasonable to pass that cost on to the customer.
But, as you said, what goes around comes around. Someone who's paid a pretty penny for their gear is going to want to recoup that cost by charging accordingly for the fruits of their labor. Like any item that's offered for sale, you don't need to pay the asking price, you can go get one yourself. But this quest sounds like a situation where the crafters are going to need the fighters for a change... and they're going to find how the shoe feels on the other foot.

I hardly see this mission as one where "crafters need fighters". These lootkit items drop as easily as regular lootkit items do.
I specifically used the "magic monkeys" on TC2 to make a character exactly like my crafter on Radiant, that way I'd know if it was possible to do the quests myself. Verdict: so far, so good.
As a crafter, I have spent many hours thumping low-level thugs and gathering as much lootkit loot as I could carry.
Anyways, I dont see this as any different (unless the DEVs change it). You need 6 loot parts and 4 crafted parts. That's right, 4 of the parts are craftable parts....by artisans.
Hang in there crafters!

These parts will likely be on the bazaar by phase 4, I wouldn't worry about it
