Thread: 6 Noob Questions I would love to get answered!

K, these maybe noob questions, but they are things I dont know about, so if someone could answer then without being retarded and flaming that would be awesome 
1.What is being said when someone says CU and Pre CU?
2. How do I change the color of text in the sign of my house?
3. What does a jetpack do?
4. Ive heard of a ring that bring you back to life or back from incap, whats is that?
5. What do health buff crystals do?
6. How are people able to master like 6 proffessions while I only have 86 skill points left and I have only mastered marksman and half way through rifleman?

1) The CU or Combat Upgrade changed much of the game and how it was played. When people say pre-CU, they are referring to how the game was before the combat upgrade occured.
2) Using hexidecimal codes and some syntax's, not quite sure, although I can find a link.
3) A jetpack works similar to a vehicle. You move faster and you hover a certain distance above the ground.
4) You get the ring from doing the Hero of Tatooine quests. Do a search for guides on these.
5) The health buff crystal is a reward from doing the Vehicular Control Force Sensitive quest. It buffs your health by 2000 for a few hours and can only be used once every 3 days I think.
6) When you master a profession, you are awarded a badge that stays in your character sheet. That person does not have all those professions mastered at once, but rather has mastered each of them at some time in the past.

CU stands for Combat Upgrade. This was a big change in how combat worked in swg which was release in early may

it's like a vichecle. very hard to get.

it is part of the hero of tat quest it will rez you when u are dead but has limited uses if you search for hero of tat you'll find guide to do the quests
5. What do health buff crystals do?
increase your character health for a limited amount of time
6. How are people able to master like 6 proffessions while I only have 86 skill points left and I have only mastered marksman and half way through rifleman? well they can't at the same time they end up mastering a profession and u get a badge then if you decide tochange professions and master that u get another badge and still retain the orginal badge. on average u can only master 2 professions

1. CU = Combat Upgrade. Its the difference between the old combat system that 1st started out the game. And the revamp version that better balanced out all the professions, while also removing DoT (Damage over time weapons, and other items)
2. You need to use html example /#FF0000/EASTside would read in red.
3. It allows you to fly around. This is one of the hardest items to craft, and requires Bounty Hunter armor and a group to brave the Death Watch Bunker
4. The ring is called the "Mark of the Hero". It requires you to finish the Hero of Tantooine Quests.
5. Not sure, but they are from the village force quests as a reward.
6. They master, then drop, then remaster something else. It is impossible to master 3 elite professions at the same time anymore.

tkm/master fencer/mswords is the only tripple master still possible
Doesn't Master Rifleman/Master Pistoleer/Master carbineer work?

No, with TKM/Master Swords and Master fencer you only use 3 of the brawler trees, with MCarbs, MRifles, and MPistoleer you use all 4 branches, which is too many skillpoints.

No because for that you need ranged support 4 which keeps you from gettting that fourth box in either Rifles/Carbs/Pistols. TKM/Swords/Fencers doesnt require pikeman which gives you the extra skill points you need.

There are very few things that didn't get converted with the CU. Most things are Crafters' subcomponents such as Scopes, ABECs, etc.
