So wait, then we shouldnt even bother getting any skills from phase 1? Especially if we have holo credit?

Phase 1 is usefull for people who want to enhance their current skills, that extra ranged accuracy can be quite usefull for a BH's LLC for example.

Ya i know, but none of the skills offered really apply to me , IM melee so none of these help? Do you have to have any of these skills in phase 1 to become a jedi?

Ok, sorry for the word "powergamers". What I mean to say, is that anyperson who is soley set on going straight for Jedi, and Jedi alone will have little to no use for phase 1. Phase 1 is good for those of you who want to "dabble" with their force skills and improve upon their current characters or whatnot.

I salute you in your efforts!

But, if you are going for the straight Jedi,I can't see any need for Phase 1.

Agree? Disagree?

I am just mentioning this to save some hair pulling for those of you out there screaming at the screen waiting on the old man/sith to spawn. I got to the village today and was a little upset in that I have no interest in wasting my exp on skills I will not use.

And just FYI, if you plan on being a Jedi anytime in the next6 months, if you havent looked at the numbers, you will HAVE to BE a powergamer.

I hear that ranged accuracy (you get it in phase 1) helps you with force powers like force lighting in the future... I dunno if it is true but I have heard it from multiple people.

Yes, you can still use the skills to get your jedi. My point is that they are skills that AS a jedi you really wont need/use.

Feel free to spend them however you want. But if you are gonna grind all your exp into something like survival, you will be wasting your time, (IMO) and could be using that precious exp on another one of the sense skills which will be available at a later phase.

Based on whatI read in the revamp faq, the only 2 fs skill profs that are really valuable to a jedi are melee acc and def. I got them as free unlocks. As far as I am aware, there are no other skills worth waiting for so, I am taking anything that sounds remotely intersting, knowing that I will get to initiate quicker and with minimal detriment to my jedi template.

Now, that might be true, and if it IS true, then I stand corrected about that skill. Can anyone confirm this, IE, someone who actually HAS the ability to use force lightning?

(Still a noob, dunno if this level has been reached by anyone yet.)

Im still confused........Do you have to do phase 1 to become a jedi or not? I mean if you complete the quest but dont get the skills form the said quest can you still be jedi?

hm, as far as I know you only have to do 6, but Im not completely certian on that. You might have to unlock all of them....not totally sure on that aspect.

The only point I am trying to make is that the skills you gain from Phase 1 appear to be somewhat pointless for the combat/fighter oriented Jedi-to-be.
