I just read the JTLS pre-order page. And I'm a bit confused, and worried. This Naboo Flash Speeder is going to be a ground vehicle? Am I to assume then that it will be the same as the X34, or AV-21? I'm curious as to how pre-ordering a space-sim would entitle anyone to a ground vehicle. I myself have diedquite a fewtimes and wen't throughmore sets of composite armor than I like to think about teaching myself to solo the corellian corvette and loot the drop points to make and sell AV-21's for 2mil. I will be highly upset if all that hard work ends up being negated by some "marketing genius" at SOE or LucasArts. If you want to reward people for wanting to fly spaceships, give them spaceships to fly.

Well, you can't play JTL without the ground game. Why not? Not everyone will have one and it won't be as widely available as the AV-21.

I'll bet they will work like the sunglasses, non-craftable and non-tradable. And they're not free - mine is costing $29.00 in REAL money!!!!

Since when has the AV-21 been widely available? The point is there's currently a viable market for AV-21's due to people having a lot of money and wanting the best. So now those with the money are gonna go pester some n00b who wants that easy 5mil, and just happened to beg mommy and daddy to preorder JTLS for his birthday. In the process thevette soloers like myself and quite a few others, who actually worked to get the products we sell, are gonna get shafted. It doesn't make sense.

This is typical SOE logic. Give it a year and you'll be able to start a new account that's instantly a Jedi Knight for a one time charge of $19.95.

Those items are also indestructible. So if the speeder follows the same logic you would never loose it. I guess it could become disabled, but if like the sunglasses, it would never be destroyed. Hmmmm guess we'll have to wait and see.

Have you ever tried to solo it? No? If soloing the vette is an exploit, why would the devs allow walkthroughs for it and every other content quest in the game to be posted on the official forums?

My only concern with this new speeder.... You can be flying around anyplace and get hit by an area attack.... BYE BYE SPEEDER!! Seriously think about it, you can only fly this thing around in cities... I lost an av-21 just flying on Dath, and got hit by a nightsister, the day they got their force powers back. NS elder put an end to my AV-21 in one shot!! I'm not complaining, I just could only imagine loosing a vehicle like this new speeder...
From everything I have heard it is non-destroyable. It will decay down to nothing and become disabled but you will never loose it.Just need to repair it. Along with that you can not trade it either. It's supposed to be just like the sunglasses in the SE of the regular game.I guess the only way to know for sure is to wait until the speeders come out.

I have my AV-21 because I earned it. IMHO that should be the only way anyone gets one. The vette was never designed to be able to be "solo'ed" or exploited just for easy loot or to run a shady business as a used exotic car salesman. When the devs figured out what was happening they made it so you couldn't walk through the place without getting aggro'd, and then they added masive amounts of SBDs to make it harder. "Solo-ing" the vette for loot in order to sell AV-21's for millions is lame, pure and simple. Just like loot spawn camping.
You should be ashamed.
Just my opinion - flame if you like, but I've said my $.02
Umm, I get my aggros, run circles around about 30 SBD's, get my own tickets, buy a new set of armor every three days just from absorbing damage from blasters, loot my own powerplants, craft my own speeders (which I had to completely regrind Artisan to do), and I do it now, not pre-patch. Now you wanna tell me again I didn't earn mine??? What did you do to earn yours???

I don't think you have too much to worry about. From what I hear coming down the grapevine the new speeder isn't going to be nearly as nice as the AV-21. From my understanding it's speed and handling aregoing to be something like a cross between a regular speederbike and an X34. It will be decently fast (but not as fast as a swoop or an AV) and it will have decent hill climbing (but again, not as nice as an X34 or an AV). That's just what I hear from sources thatI trust.
