From everything I have heard it is non-destroyable. It will decay down to nothing and become disabled but you will never loose it.Just need to repair it. Along with that you can not trade it either. It's supposed to be just like the sunglasses in the SE of the regular game.I guess the only way to know for sure is to wait until the speeders come out.

When I get this speeder I will only use it on the none advanced planets. There is no way i am going out in the wilds with it unless its undestroyable like the CE Googles.

Ok... Some of you guys seem to be "in the know" about this. A couple of questions.
This Flash Speeder... Is it only for use during the beta period they list, or is it good for the regular game? Also, when do I get this disk with the speeder on it? Do I get it now? Can I pick this up at a nearby Gamespot, or is online the only way to go?

I don't claim to be completely in the know but from everything I have read this speeder is not for the beta and is for the actual game. You should see some appearing this weekend at the earliest, probably more early next week. There are more posts about this on the Jump to Lightspeed public forum. Everything listed in the posts above seem to be the general thoughts of forum members based on similar bonuses (sunglasses) being non destructible andnon tradeable. Ipre-ordered awhile ago andthe disks for beta access have started shipping in the pastday ortwo.I'll let you know once I get mine, or check the JTL public forum.

From whatI have been able to piece together, the Flash speeder will not be able to be destroyed but, it can be disabled. I wonder about the functionality of it's advertised turret. What seemed to be a well-informed EB clerk said it should be available next week on the JtL pre-release disk in stores and I guess it is being shipped to other pre-orderers this week. Supposedly, the code has already been patched in last week.
I am just happy thet there will be a little more variety out there. I doubt they would make it superior performance wise to the AV-21 but, if the turret does work, a non-destroyable, shooting vehicle will doubtlessly be what many will want. Either way, the AV-21s are not worth 100 times what the other vehicles are. So, despite what may be involved with creating them, I'll have a hard time sparing any tears for the guys who have been making millions selling them losing thier market.

AV-21s are easily worth 100 times the price of a swoop. It seems to me like most of you don't seem to realize that buying an AV-21 isn't just so you can show it off as a status symbol. An AV-21 is an investment. Yes, that's right. It's the same as buying 10 acres of land and waiting for the property value to go up.

I think there will continue to be a market for the AV-21. I do think that the new speeder will be worth more but since you can't trade it or sell itI guess itdoesn't matter. If the speeder is no longer avilable once JTL is released it will be a limited number vehicle. AV-21's are readily available, there was a vendor on Kauri selling 25 of them. He spends most of his time aboard the corvette no doubt. Anyway....

AV-21 is absolutely useless first off.
Second any smuggler with feign death can loot these all day.
I refuse to pay 2 million for an item I could not possibly usebecause it can be destroyedwhile riding it and that has a very comparable item in a swoop.
To say I figured out how to "walk" through the vette solo and bragging about it is like me bragging I am a swordsman. Whoopie!
If the vehicle allowed for passengers or to be fired from fine. Until then it serves as no purpose. So should I pre-order so I can have another useless item?

I imagine this is going to work similar to the EQ2 pre-release. What I did was bought the pre-release, then popped cd in. It then gave a lot of freebie movies, info, there was a thing on bottom that states, "get free pre-release boots" something to that degree. I did that, entered inmy station name, and it then informed me that my boots, in swg case i would think Speeder is available apon release.

There have been many posts about this and TH has stated that we will be seeing these soon, within the next week. The code went in on the 1st but the beta disks have not shipped yet so nobody has the code for it. There is a thread that goes over this on the JTL public forum.
