I seealot ofthe old players are leaving more and more, with most sayingthey are going to EQ 2. (And also to W@W.)

My question is this, isn't EQ 2 another SOE game?

What will the difference be in total CS if its the same people/company doing it as here, (ie outsourced CS to india or wherever).

And will you not have to go through all the same type of growing pains as this game, meaning it will be forever before its right, (asI heard about EQ 1). So won't it be the same frustrations all over again, except with fairies and dwarves?

Please explain this to me, I mean this in no way to be a flame just a question from someone who has nevered played any other online games.

not all MMORPG start out as bug filled and unbalanced as this one did.. and after a year, EQ had its fixes.. this game still doesnt..

This will be my last MMO until the genre has gone through a major change. I only came here because this was StarWars & because it had a lot of potential to take gaming to a whole new level. It has failed to do that in any way whatsoever, & has regressed in many other ways that makes it more unplayable now than it was on day two.

I think they're all going to WoW.

All going to WOW, nope everyone that I know is leaving for EQ2.

But for the original poster, they are 2 separate games, made by different teams.
Also 90% of the players quiting are not leaving because of bugs etc.
They are just flat out bored of the game, everyone that I know that has left have all been here for over a year.
Myself I have EQ2 on order, but I also have JTL coming.
For me I need a change but I still love the concept of SWG, but it just has me bored to death atm.

Plus EQ2 is SOE's baby. SWG they have to deal with LA and pay LA... They in theory should put a lot more effort into EQ2 then they do with SWG..

Here's my few reasons for leaving...

$15 a month...for this pos that doesn't make any REAL noticeable upgrade every month.

Quests blow...we have some themeparks yippee...rest are generic destroy random spawn base with 4-5 guys, random lair, or deliver to random person.

Lack of...or nonexistence of...GCW.

Death penalties completely screw me over...I HATE decay with a passion.

$15 a month...

Jedi going from Holo-grind to Quest and then XP Grind. (Yeah big yipee for the devs..they made Jedi quest based like they said, NOT)

The bugs...most noticeably the harvester's not animating bug...i'm tired of running through areas with harvesters that don't do anything. Makes the game too static.

and most finally...the Devs. Everyone else may think this game is good and the devs are correcting their mistakes. But IMO they are doing a pretty piss poor job.

Currently: TKA with a dash of Master Marksman and a tidbit of Medic
Mastered: Who cares?
Likes: Long walks on Dantooine...although sometimes I have to walk the beach 2-3 times before it stops warping me back.

In EQ2, I won't feel asawkward whenusing a sword as I do when using one in a Star Warsgame

As far as I know, the ones worth playing did. Some of the more stupidly simple ones may not have. I know, for instance, Earth and Beyond worked well enough but that's kind of a mute point when it's due to there not being enough *game* to even have bugs.
