and stop running around Coronet in your uber composite. Try some role playing and go to your friendly tailor and buy a nice suit. Looking good in town is what it's all about

In defense of those wearing composite, many of them can't put it back on again once they take it off until they get a buff. Blame the game mechanics. I like to roleplay too, and for that reason, I do have a jacket, pants, shirt, gloves, and boots to swap out my armor for--but this isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Personally, I only wear armor when I need it. Once I return from hunting, I slip into something more comfortable. People who always dress head-to-toe in composite armor look like 1950's robots: anonymous and ill-conceived.

so many nice clothes out there, but for some reason everyone would rather wear their composite. Even when not fighting

I only wear armor when I'm hunting or fighting, otherwise, I wear clothes. However, maybe if they added the ability to craft clothes thatacted like armor, but onlygave around 50% of what protectionarmor gives (and maybe not much protection from all types of damage, but only one or two), maybe that would encourage more people to wear clothes. And, AS can craft "armor panels" or whatever that will add protection for say, two types of protection (AS can mix and match these types), that tailors can add to clothes to make it happen.

I realize this, but if you are in Cnet or some other popluar spot, you are probably going to get a buff anyway before you head out into the wilderness. I myself refuse to wear any armor I can't wear without a buff. It used to be when you cloned and your HAM fell below the required level that it would automatically remove the armor from you. Guess that went the way of animated harvestors.
Also, nobody is really overt anymore, so that is no excuse (unless you really are one of the few overt.)
How you gonna meet that special virtual other if you have a comp helm on?

Oh yeah, looted a couple dress uniform jackets myself (though tailors can make them also.) Very cool looking, all shiny and "armor" looking, get a lot of tells about it.
