I just throw a special ops duster over my Ubese, and remove the helmet.
Beats looking like a generic 50's sci fi robot. Composite's fugly. Useful, granted, but fugly.

I wear my red/wihte vest, with red pantaloons, white gloves, and white sneakers.
I can put all the armor on that I need to ... my helm, chestplate, gloves, and boots (that apparently covers my whole body).

My beef isn't with the people running around in amor. Looking threatening is part of the job.
What does bug me is the people who run around or fight in skimpy outfits.

I switch between my Ubese, Composite, and "street clothes" depneding on what I'm doing. I have a very nice set of *super low* encumbrance kinetic composite that I wear for more advanced PvE stuff, and I tend to have that on more often than not. I cycle the colors on it, though, so it's not the "same" suit all the time.
My Ubese is white, which I think looks sharp in its own right, and one of myfavoritenon-armor itemsis a "Dress Uniform Jacket" which appears to pay a bit of homage to the Mandalorian armor. It looks nice too
A previous poster mentioned the buff factor as far as armor goes, and I would have to agree with that. For ease of play, it's just simpler to leave the stuff on between buffs rather than change out of it every time. I have my stats migrated far enough to wearboth my Ubese and comp with no buffs, but I'm pretty ineffective in combat until I get enhanced.
I'm all for cool clothes -- I have several outfits I switch between at times -- but those of us who thrive on combat tend to take the easy route.

Like said above if i take my compy off i cant put it on again.....However
this REALLY annoys me so im thinking of ditching the compy and getting some ubese that i can wear without buffing.
I hate the whole buffing idea as well, its all quite unrealistic.

As a Master Smuggler/ Master Tailor...Yes, by all means, buy some clothes to wear when not in combat.

I would absolutly love to wear cloths. I think its cool to be able to look unique, But the not being able top take my composite off deters that. Most of the time i fight unbuffed. So taking my armor off would require me to go get buffed. I guess I like fighting without steroids lol. But if they made cloths more viable for combat, id be wearing them

You currently only need to wear a helm, chestplate, gloves, and boots to get full protection, I am 100% sure.

Cannot agree more...
BUT Composite is way better to see people in boxers only or leotards in starports. Or..
More worse, composite biceps bracers with leotard.. Like a nightmare...
Oh.. dont forget full composite suit but hawtpants instead of composite pants..
Someone also said 'cant put composite' back.. Geez, if you cannot put it back, you cannot do any special attack with your current stats without buffs either.. You have more chance to dodge without armor in that case too...
Long story, short... Leave your work clothes at your office.. Wear composite while you fight, Wear leotard in cantina while you dance...
